Warriors, today is the last day to make your nomination for this year's Prom
Royalty as well as Senior Favorites. You
can nominate in the cafeteria all day today.
Attention
all students going on the Wind River Trip...Just a reminder that there is a
MANDATORY meeting today after school at 2:30 in the Forum. See you
there! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Price or Ms. Levi.
ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE
ARTISTS!!!! Art Attack is here. Tomorrow is the last day to turn in submissions for the show.
Entry forms are located in the art department office. See an art teacher
for details or questions. The show will be up in the halls on April 15th so make sure to check it out!
Seniors … Take advantage of the last opportunity to represent
your class – audition for keynote speaker for graduation! One time auditions will be held after school
on Tuesday, April 16. Please sign up for
your audition at Mrs. Debow’s window in the Guidance Office. If you have any questions, please see Mr.
Kleeman in Language Arts.
Attention
all seniors who are currently in or have previously taken
a Personal Finance class. One of you will be awarded a
$1,000 Personal Finance Scholarship. The deadline to submit your
application for the Scholarship is April 15th. For more details,
please visit the Business Department website or come see Mrs. Swank, Mr. Sawyer
or Ms. Lewallen.
Hey Warriors! Got talent?
Do you have an amazing talent that you want to share with the school? The Prom Talent Show is coming up on April 24th,
and we are looking for fun and exciting acts to star in the show! Tryouts will be held on April 9th from 2:30 to 5:30, and April
10th from 5:00 to 7:30 in rooms N2 and N3. If you are interested, please pick up the tryout forms from the
main office! These forms are available
NOW, so come out and showcase your talent!!
Are you
an average human being? Do you like eating? Do you have any ideas to combat the
growing obesity problem? If so, come show your expertise and solutions in
the LPS Healthy School Snack Contest! Prizes will be awarded to the top
contestants on April 18th. If interested, contact Mrs. Lewis in Room E2 or
refer to the posters on the bulletin boards or the slide show in the
cafeteria.
Attention
all students who have completed multiple business classes. You may be
eligible for a business certificate of proficiency. If you have
completed a series of business classes, please stop by the business office to
pick up an application for a certificate of proficiency.
Applications are due April 12th.
Summer school information is now available. If you need this
information, please come and pick up a packet in the Guidance Office or meet
with your counselor.
Athletics
Congratulations to the freshman/sophomore girls
soccer team for their 5-0 victory over Montbello. Their next game is Friday at
Grandview. Go Warriors!
Today the Girls Varsity and JV lacrosse teams
play Chaparral at the Chaparral High School stadium. Varsity game
time is 4:15 and JV begins at 5:30. We need lots of fans in the stands to
cheer the Warriors on to victory. Beat the Wolverines!
Congratulations to Level 3 boys lacrosse team
for their win against Denver East! If you missed the game yesterday, come out
and support them today at Powell at 4:30 as they battle against Littleton! Good
luck Warriors!
Congratulations to the Varsity boys baseball
team who defeated Heritage 10 to 0! Come cheer them on as they play
Chaparral tonight at Chaparral.
The JV baseball team takes on Chaparral High School
at 4 p.m. at home. It's a sunny day so come watch some baseball!
