Your ABK Varsity girls
soccer team suffered a tough defeat yesterday in Overtime against Smoky Hill.
Both teams were scoreless at half until a goal by Lauren Conley brought the
Warriors the lead. Smoky Hill struck back to force the game into Overtime and
it ended in a 2-1 loss. Only their first loss in league play this year for ABK.
Come out tomorrow on
our home soccer pitch as they compete against a tough Thunder Ridge team at 11:00 am. GO ABK!!!
Congratulations to the ABK JV girls soccer team who
had a 3-1 win over Smokey Hill yesterday at home! One goal by Kathleen
Fedorowicz and two goals by Katie Barnes gave the girls the winning edge, and
they are now 3-3 for the season. Come out to cheer them on tomorrow at home vs Thunder Ridge. Go ABK!
Our
Junior Varsity girl’s lacrosse team celebrated another victory last night,
beating the Chaparral Wolverines, 15-7. The victory was a true team
effort with eight players scoring, and nine saves collected by our goalie. Our
lady Warriors out-skilled Chaparral by fielding two times the ground balls of
our opponent. Let’s keep the wins coming with a victory over Douglas
County on our home field tonight! Go Arapahoe! Way to go Warriors!
This
afternoon, both of the AHS Girl’s Lacrosse teams have home games at Newton
Middle School. The Varsity will kick off the action against league rival,
Overland High School at 4:30 p.m. The
JV team will play Douglas County immediately after the Varsity game at 5:45 p.m. The
teams are having a great season so far, and we need our fans to come out and
cheer. So, Varsity Warriors, stop the Trailblazers in their tracks! And
JV Warriors, cage the Huskies!
Come
Cheer on the Jr. Varsity baseball team as they take on the Overland Blazers
