Athletics
Last Saturday your
Arapahoe Varsity Girls Soccer team came out playing tough in their first league
game against the defending state champions Mountain Vista. They were down 2-0
at half and gave up a few more goals in the 2nd half before they came storming back to
score 4 unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes of the game and end up just
short in a 5-4 defeat. Goals were scored by Maddie Matthews, Kai Bin Ooi,
Amanda Cadorette and Lauren Conley who also had 2 assists. Hannah Archuleta had
8 saves in the game. What a great job playing with your heart and soul girls
and never giving up!!! Come cheer them on as
they take on Heritage High School this Saturday at 4:00 pm at your ABH home field!!!
Last
night, the number four ranked Arapahoe girls’ Varsity lacrosse team defeated
the number seven ranked Kent Sun Devils by a score of 15 - 8. Under the
lights at LPS stadium, the Warriors dominated the game. The girls carried
an 11-5 lead into half time and never looked back. The offense was
totally in gear, firing away at the Kent goalie and making 15 goals on only 20
shots. The AHS defense had its most dominant game of the season,
basically shutting down Kent’s offensive strategy. Way to go, Warriors!
A great win!
The
Arapahoe girls Junior Varsity lacrosse team experienced a loss to Kent last
night, losing 11-7. The Warriors team had a fabulous second half, really
turning up the defense, speed, and scoring. Come cheer on the team at our
next home game at Newton on Thursday at 3:45 against
Chaparral. Good luck ladies! Go Warriors!
The
Warriors Varsity baseball team is rolling.
After thrilling back to back one run wins against Highlands Ranch and
Mullen this week and a 5-1 record. Your

cheer the team on to victory once again!
