Reader: Do love tradition? Do you love family? Do you love love? Well, then Fiddler on the
Roof is the show for you! Next week on April 17th, 18th, 19th our very own
Arapahoe theatre will be putting on Fiddler on the Roof. You can purchase
tickets online, just go to Mr. Ahern’s teacher page OR we will be selling
tickets during both lunches starting this Thursday! Tickets are $8 for students
and $10 for adults. Mazeltov!
Hey Warriors - remember that quiet study rooms
are available today, periods 3 through 6.
Don't forget to join the Art Club after school
today in E4 to paint the ceramic bowls we have been making. We are almost at
our goal of 300 bowls. If you missed all the fun of making the bowls, you can
still get involved by buying a bowl during our Handmade and Homemade soup cook
off and fundraiser on Saturday April,
26th. Look for the flyers for more details.
The Muse staff and faculty sponsors would like
to thank everyone who submitted their fine work to us this year, and we would
like to extend our CONGRATULATIONS to all the artists and writers whose work
was accepted into the magazine. SAVE
THE DATE: We will celebrate those creative students on the night of Thursday, April 10th, in our annual Showcase in the Forum. This
year, faculty and staff have also contributed to the magazine, and we look
forward to seeing them at the Showcase night as well. Snacks will be served beforehand, and
there will be music too. Again,
congratulations to the writers and artists for this year’s Muse! You help make Arapahoe what it is!
ATTENTION ALL MUSE MEMBERS!!!! We are
having our FINAL MEETING TOMORROW AFTER
SCHOOL in C-17 to plan our big Showcase event! We have missed you,
and need you back! We can't get this done without you! We can't
wait to see you again, and will probably unveil our new Volume 12 edition, the
"Moby Muse" that you helped create!! See you tomorrow at 2:30 in
C-17.
If you would like to try out for the Prom
Talent Show, sign-ups have been extended through the end of the day today.
Please sign up at the main office desk so we can have an amazing show! Auditions are taking place today from 2:30-3:30 pm and tomorrow from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
FBLA
is filling over 2000 Easter Eggs with jelly beans tomorrow in Room E-9 at 2:30! We
need your help and your jelly beans. Please bring a bag or two to help fill the
eggs. If you can't make it, bring your jelly beans to the Business Office.
PROM is approaching and, gentlemen, your
tuxedos rentals need to happen soon. Please consider renting your tuxedo from
Mens Warehouse located at County Line and University. AHS wins and earns cash
back for every AHS rental from Mens Warehouse. Get there soon to get fitted for
fashion!
Hey Warriors!
Prom royalty voting will be held this Thursday, April 10, in the
cafeteria! Juniors and seniors, stop by
at any time during the day to cast your vote.
Choose wisely, we will have a king, queen, prince, and princess, as well
as junior attendants. The court will be
announced at the prom talent show on April 24.
Seniors! Take advantage of the last opportunity to represent
your class . . . audition for keynote speaker for graduation! One time
open auditions will be held after school on Tuesday, April 15. Please sign up for your audition at
Mrs. Debow's window in the Guidance Office. If you
have any questions, please see Mr. Kleeman in Language Arts.
Attention seniors. A $1000 scholarship
will be offered to one student looking to attend college next year. In
order to apply, you must have taken a Personal Finance class. Please stop
by the Business Department or the Post Grad Center to pick up an application.
All applications are due May 1st.
Athletics
After a
third straight one-run victory Saturday over
the Mullen Mustangs, your Warriors Varsity baseball team, now 7-1, takes on the
Grandview Wolves today at 4:15 on our home field. Come and cheer the Warriors
on to victory!!!
