 General Announcements

*Daily Announcements will NOT be read over the PA next week, but will still be shared with all AHS staff and put on the AHS website Daily Announcement page.

*Please check our Lost & Found table in the Cafeteria.  We have hoodies, jackets, water bottles, a blanket, shoes & more!

*Warriors, the Counseling Department and Warriors Heart Club will be hosting our annual ‘De-Stress Event’ during both lunches on Monday, December 15th.  Join us in the cafeteria to kick off finals week with some hot cocoa, make a glitter jar, visit with our therapy dogs, enjoy coloring pages at the tables, and help us make a paper chain to share positive messages and gratitudes as a way to de-stress before final exams begin.

*SENIORS - the Clair Davis Memorial Scholarship is open!  If you participate in school activities, volunteer in the community and are enrolling in a vocational school, technical college or 2 or 4 year college or university in the fall, stop into the Postsecondary Center for more information or see the Postsecondary website for the application.

*Thinking about taking a gap year?  Arapahoe High School will be hosting the Denver Gap Year Fair on Tuesday, January 20 from 6:00-8:30 pm.  Learn about summer programs, internships, volunteerism, language schools and college credit.  Eligible students who attend the fair can register to win a $5,000 gap year scholarship!  See the Post Secondary Website or Scan the QR code on any of the many posters around the building for more information and to register.

Athletics

*Congratulations to our Varsity Cheerleaders for winning the 4A-5A State Championship title in the Game Day Division at the Denver Coliseum last night! Our Warriors came out #1 in a field of 42 teams in their division! This is the first State title for our Cheers since 2010. The cheers and their coaches want to thank all the fans who showed up last night to cheer them on.  Please congratulate our cheerleaders when you see them. We will do an assembly to honor them in an upcoming TRIBE soon!

*Good luck to the Girls Swimming & Diving team at HOME TOMORROW at the Colorado Elite Relay Meet starting at 9:00am.  Good job to the JV team last night against Ft. Collins.  Despite some tough and fun racing our Warriors were defeated. 

*ATTENTION - any Warrior guy who likes free tacos and is interested in swimming and diving in the spring: there is a FREE taco social on Monday, Dec 15 starting at 6:30pm at The Knolls Clubhouse. Come meet teammates and coaches, and eat a few tacos!  Any questions, contact Coach Eric.

*Warrior Boys, are you Interested in playing on the Boys LPS Volleyball team? Join us for our first open gym Saturday,  December 20th from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the AHS main gym. Go to lpsvolleyball.com for more open gyms times and additional info. 

*Head to Birdcall (across from AHS) on Wednesday, December 17th and treat yourself while supporting Arapahoe Boys Lacrosse.  Use code AHS1217 when you order and Birdcall will donate 25% of those sales back to the team.

*Warrior Girls! The Warrior Women Exploring STEM club is making light up circuit holiday cards this Friday before school at 7:45am in W1882! Come and get your holiday cards done early while enjoying a holiday snack! New members are welcome!

*TODAY - ACC will be visiting the Postsecondary Center at 11:30am and the Air Force will be in the cafeteria during both lunches, come learn about the academy, AF ROTC, Space Force and enlistment!

*Good luck to our Warrior Boys & Girls Wrestling teams TONIGHT as they take on Mountain Vista @ Mountain Vista HS!

*Congratulations to your Girls Swimming and Diving teams!  Both the Varsity and JV teams beat the Smoky Hill Buffaloes last night!  Both squads now hold a 2-1 record on the season.  The JV squad is next in action on Thursday at HOME against Ft. Collins, and the Varsity team is off until Saturday's ‘Colorado Elite Relay Meet’.

*The Arapahoe Warrior Booster Organization is participating in Colorado Gives Day TODAY! ColoradoGives.org is a year-round, online giving website featuring more than 2,500 Colorado non-profit organizations.   Donate online to your favorite AHS Warrior athletic or activity booster club or donate to the Arapahoe PTO in supporting students and staff of Arapahoe High School.  All donations through Colorado Gives Day are tax deductible.  Use this link - here and then click on the specific Warrior sport/activity campaign page you want to support or click the "donate" button and select the specific sport/activity listed in the designation field.

*Come out and cheer on our Girls Basketball teams as they take on Thunder Ridge TONIGHT @ Thunder Ridge.  Varsity plays at 7:00pm after JV plays @ 5:30pm.

*Get loud and pack the stands for our Boys Basketball teams TONIGHT against the Mountain Range Mustangs.  Varsity plays @ 7:00pm following the JV team @ 5:30pm.

*Attention Key Club Members! Our December meeting takes place after school TODAY in the Forum. We'll be celebrating the end of our first semester and announcing some service opportunities taking place before the New Year. Check our Google Classroom page for details, otherwise see you there!

*Come out and support the Arapahoe Warrior Vocal Music program TOMORROW for our Winter Concert!  Join us for FREE food, games and fun in the cafeteria at 5:30pm with the concert beginning at 7:00pm in the theater. See you then!

*Warriors! Give the gift of life this year during our Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness Week. The annual AHS Blood Drive is TOMORROW! A single donation can potentially help up to 3 people.  Sign up to donate in the cafeteria at lunch or any time just outside of Mr. Miwa's office.

Stop by and check it out as you consider future career opportunities and begin to think about your schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.

*Good Luck to our Boys and Girls Warrior Wrestlers at the annual Arapahoe Invitational TOMORROW @ HOME.  Boys will start at 8:00am and Girls start after that.  

*Congratulations to your Girls Swimming and Diving teams who defeated Cherokee Trail last night.  The varsity team won 153 - 119 and the JV team won by a score of 188 -123.  The girls are next in action at home next Tuesday, December 9th against Smoky Hill.  Go Warriors!

*Congratulations to your Girls Basketball Varsity & JV Basketball teams on their wins over Vista Peak last night!  Way to Go!
