*In Speech and Debate news, the team is heading out tomorrow to Denver South High School for the DPS Invitational Tournament. We're competing in force this time, in Speech and Interpretation events. Good luck, team!

*Freshman, Sophomore, & Junior students:  Be sure to submit College Night RSVP’s for you and a parent or guardian!  The RSVP forms close one week from today.

*Seniors!  Many of you have received scholarship awards...congratulations!  Please help us honor you properly by bringing a copy of the award letter to Mrs. Hall in Post Grad.

*Need a fun date for Valentine’s Day? Come to the Vocal Music's “Valentine’s Day Cabaret” on February 13th! This will include a fun night filled with performances from students as well as the auditioned choirs. Tickets are available now and all proceeds go to AWVM. *Over Spring Break next year--March of 2021--Arapahoe's Choirs will be traveling to both England and Ireland to perform, sightsee, and to be immersed in the history and culture of these European countries. If you are interested in attending this trip, please visit the Vocal Music audition webpage, talk to a current AWVM student, or see Mr. Schjodt for audition details. Auditions for next year's traveling ensembles are scheduled to take place during the month of February. 

*Come one, Come all to the next Sources of Strength meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5th in the library at 9:00 AM. We want to talk about the next upcoming campaigns including our Positive Poster competition. We look forward to seeing you there.

All donations go to the World Wildlife Fund’s efforts to help koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, and other wildlife tragically affected by the devastating Australian Fires. Remember, every class that raises at least $100 will win a Krispy Kreme Donut Party for their class. Moreover, the teacher whose classes raises the most money collectively will win a Starbucks gift card. This is your opportunity to help animals affected by the fires! Marine Life/Environmental Club thanks Student Council for their assistance in spreading awareness about this issue.

Athletics

*Our Lady Water Warriors compete in B League Championships this weekend. Swimming is at Smoky Hill HS at 10:00 AM and Diving is at Cherry Creek HS at 10:00 AM.

*Come out to cheer on your LPS hockey team on tonight when they take on Denver East at Big Bear at 5:15 PM and on Saturday night for their home game against Kent Denver at South Suburban at 6:30 PM.

*Next Thursday, February 6th, our AHS Unified Basketball Team will be hosting the annual Unity through Unified tournament at 7pm. Get ready to cheer on our Warriors vs our rivals at Heritage and Littleton! Expect to see a performance by our TOMS, half court contest, prizes, and surprises! T-shirt sales will begin next week during lunches. Come support our Unified team!

*Girl Golfers...Reminder, there is a mandatory parent/player meeting on Monday, February 3rd at 7:30 PM. Please see Coach Riordan with any questions.

If you are interested in attending this trip, please visit the Vocal Music audition webpage, talk to a current AWVM student, or see Mr. Schjodt for audition details. Auditions for next year's traveling ensembles are scheduled to take place during the month of February.

Holly Street, Centennial, CO 80122). Get your questions answered about ABK tryouts and logistics. Contact the Booster Club if you plan to attend. On Saturday they had an impressive victory of 7-2 over Castle View. This weekend they play Denver East on Friday night at Big Bear at 5:15 and Kent Denver at home at South Suburban at 6:30.

*As you probably know, this Friday is the Winter Assembly, and that means one thing...it's time for the 2020 Arapahoe Teacher Dance! This year is the 20th edition of the dance. To celebrate this milestone, we will be bringing back some fan favorites from the past 20 years and mashing them up with some popular hits from today.  All week long, the Warrior Media Instagram account will be highlighting some of these dances and posting some trivia questions. Head over to the site and check it out! It will be awesome to see which teachers started dancing in 2001 and are still dancing in 2020!

If you have signed a letter of intent to continue your athletic endeavors on a college campus next year please pick up paperwork from Mrs. Weems in the Athletic Office this week to participate in the ceremony on 2/5/20.
