General Announcements

Hey Warriors, today is the last day left in this year's Warrior Week. Don't miss out on your last chance to help Adam's Camp, a charity supporting children with special needs throughout the Denver Metro area. T-shirts are still available in the cafeteria for only $10. Help us reach our goal of $15,000!
Congratulations to our very own Logan Brock, who has been named one of only 40 2013 Boettcher Foundation Scholarship recipients. Way to go Logan!

Attention potential LINK leaders . . . LINK Crew applications for next year are due TODAY by 2:30 p.m. Applications taken after 2:30 will be marked LATE and considered after other selections have been made.  Any questions, see Ms. Smith, Mr. Trotter, Mrs. Ackerman, or Mrs. Moritz.

To all of those students who submitted their creative work in fall semester to the Muse magazine, we have good news—the decisions have been made for the 2012-2013 Volume 11 edition of the magazine!   The Muse staff and faculty sponsors would like to thank everyone who submitted their fine work to us.  We hope everyone will continue to send work our way next year.  We would like to extend our congratulations to all the artists and writers whose work was accepted into the magazine this year.  You can find out if your work made it in, by checking the Muse case just outside the English office in the “C” hallway.  We will celebrate those creative students on the Thursday following Spring Break, which is April 4th, in our annual Showcase in the Forum.  Again, congratulations to the writers and artists for this year’s Muse!  You help make Arapahoe what it is!

It's time for the monthly Arapahoe Herald Survey! Please log on to your school email account or use the link on the Arapahoe home page to begin. The survey closes on Sunday, March 31st. We appreciate your responses! 

Attention all Arapahoe artists, Art Attack is here!  We are now accepting entries for our 2013 show.  Show off your talents and submit up to two works in every category.  See flyers around the school for detail.  Bring your artwork in to any art teacher now through April 5th.

Hey Warriors?  Got Talent?  Do you have a talent that you've always wanted to share?  Something that you know the school would love to see?  Well, we have just the place for you!!!  The Prom Talent Show is coming up after Spring Break and tryouts will be held on April 9th from 2:30 to 5:30 and April 10 from 5:00 to 7:30.  So, plan ahead.  Tryout forms can be picked up in the main office starting April 1st.  Come out and showcase your talent!!

Athletics

Congratulations to the boys Varsity baseball team as they defeated Cherokee Trail 5 to 4!  Great job Warriors! 

Congratulations to the Level 3 boys lacrosse team who won their game against Cherokee trail yesterday! Great job Warriors!

Come out and support the Varsity boys lacrosse team at 7 p.m. as they take on Cherokee Trail at LPS Stadium. Lets go Warriors!

Today, the Girls' Lacrosse teams, Varsity and JV, take on the Regis Jesuit Raiders.  The Varsity game is at 4 p.m. at LPS Stadium.  The JV game is at 6:00 p.m. at Newton Middle School.  Please come out and cheer the Warriors on to victory!  Go Arapahoe, trounce the Raiders!

Athletics

The Arapahoe boys Swim and Dive Team had a great meet last night against Mullen, beating the Mustangs in both the JV and Varsity heats. Congratulations to new state qualifiers Logan Brock, Riely Allen, and Tanner Baldwin. The next meet is the High School Invite on March 30th at the Veterans Memorial Aquatics Center. Come out and support your Water Warriors!
Congratulations to the Boys V2 lacrosse team as they defeated Eaglecrest with a score of 11-2. Great job Warriors!

It is baseball season once again and there are games nearly every day starting around 4 p.m.  Stop by and cheer on your players and have a snack at the concession stand.  Hot dogs and hamburgers grilled fresh at every home game.  Today the Varsity baseball team goes up against Cherokee Trail at 4:00 and the Sophomore team takes on Regis at 4:00. Good Luck!

Hey Warriors, Warrior Week is here. Tickets for the Senior verses Staff Basketball game are $5 in the cafeteria during lunch. The Senior verses Staff Basketball game will be tonight at 7:00 in the Main Gym. Warrior Week t-shirts are also available in the cafeteria for only $10. Don't miss out on any of this year's Warrior Week events! All money raised will be donated to Adam's Camp.

Hellooooo all Muse Members!  It's an exciting time, as we have the magazine almost completed, and the Showcase is coming after spring break!  To plan for all this, we have a very important meeting today after school in Room E11.  We need everyone there to help out!  That's Muse Meeting, today at 2:30 in Room E11.  See you there!

The Varsity Tennis Team won their 1st match against Grandview yesterday 7-0. The team did not give up a set. Come out and watch them take on Cherry Creek on the AHS courts at 3:30 tomorrow, Thursday. Way to go ladies!

The JV Tennis Team won their 1st match against Grandview yesterday 15-0. The JV team will play Cherry Creek tomorrow, Thursday, at Powell starting at 3:30. Come out and support the team against Creek.

Congrats to the JV girls lacrosse team for their outstanding 9-4 victory over Air Academy last night!  Great work, ladies!

The JV black boys lacrosse team goes up against eagle crest today at 4:30. Come out to Powell to cheer them on! Good luck Warriors!

Attention students participating in a stupid human trick during Wednesday's charity basketball game.  There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 6:45 a.m. in Room C21 to review important details and go over the schedule for Wednesday evening's game.  Please see Mr. Brandberg in the World Languages office if you are unable to attend.

Athletics

This afternoon the Varsity and JV Girls' lacrosse teams take on Air Academy at Newton Middle School.  The Kadets are the defending State champions, and we need lots of fans to cheer the Warriors on to victory.  The Varsity game starts at 4:30 and the JV game begins at 6:00.  Beat the Kadets, Warriors!

There will be a pre-tryout information meeting for all parents and athletes interested in trying out for the 2013-2014 Arapahoe Cheer team tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the Arapahoe High School Theatre.

In Varsity girls golf, Claudia Davis and Hannah Wood won the team championship in yesterday's tournament at Heritage Eagle Bend.  Claudia was first overall with a 74.  Hannah had a 75. 

Level 3 boys lacrosse have a game at Manning Jr. High School against Wheat Ridge at 4:30! Come and show some support for your boys!

For anyone interested in playing volleyball for the fall 2013 season, there will be a brief information meeting to discuss spring and summer dates on tomorrow at 7 a.m. in W205.  Please see Coach Syers asap if you plan on playing but cannot attend the meeting.
