Thank you to all who applied for the Wind River trip, please check your school email for notifications today!

The weather outside is frightful, and for some it's not delightful,
but since your hearts are so warm, donate coats, donate coats, donate coats!
After spring break on April 3rd, we're going to kick off the coat drive for the Wind River trip. Help out some kiddos in need of some warmth and bring in coats that are in good condition. Bring them to school and drop them in the donation boxes throughout the building! Every coat counts!

The date of the FBLA Volleyball Tournament has been changed to Monday, April 24th.  For those who still have a packet, there are only a few spots remaining.  Packets are still available in the Business Department.  If you have submitted a packet and any team member has an issue with the date change, please see Mr. Sawyer in the Business Department.  

Are you a poet?, then enter the Columbia Granger’s World of Poetry 2017 High School Student Poetry. Find your poetic inspiration at the Grangers World of Poetry database, and then write your poem in 30 lines or less.  The online submission deadline is April 10th, 2017. See your Language Arts teacher or go to the library for further information including rules and detail.

LOST and FOUND: please check tables in the cafeteria today for items that you are missing.  All items leftover will be donated out

Students!  If you were absent and have not received your registration packet for next school year, please come to Counseling Department and see Mrs. Ives to pick up paper work.
Attention all Arapahoe Artists This is the last week we will be accepting submissions for Art Attack.  If you are interested in submitting your work, entry forms are located in the art department office.  See any art teacher for details or questions.  The show will be up in the halls on April 10th so make sure to check it out!



Athletics

Tryouts for the Toms Sparkler program will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 6pm in the auxiliary gym.  Please see the Toms website for program details.

The varsity girls tennis team defeated Overland yesterday by a score of 7-0.  The win brings the varsity teams record to 3-1.  The girls will take the court with a home match the Tuesday after break against Grandview." Congratulations to all three of the Lady ABK Warrior teams as they were victorious over Heritage Wednesday and Thursday.  Varsity won with a score of 4-0 with goals by Maddie Matthews, Dani Babb, Audrey Weiss and Madi Hahn.  Kali Barber was in goal for the shutout.  JV won with a score of 2-1 and Fresh/Soph also won with a score of 2-1 with both goals by Jenna Burkey .  The teams will get some rest over the break and then be back on the pitch against Mullen on April 4.

Bet you didn't know that on your sixteenth birthday you can PRE-Register to vote, and the Colorado Democracy Challenge is here to help you out. We'll be in the cafeteria and social studies classes today, tomorrow and Wednesday to provide information and the opportunity to register. MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE OR PERMIT – YOU NEED IT TO REGISTER. If you do not have a State ID, you can register with the last four of your social security number."

Anyone trying out for the Tom-Toms will need to attend the parent information being held tonight in the Forum at 7 pm. Online registration will need to be completed prior to try outs on April 3rd,

Come out and enjoy the sun this afternoon to watch your freshman baseball team’s first home game!  They face Rock Canyon at 4:00 on the Varsity field.  Bring home the win, boys!!

Congrats to the JV girls tennis team for their superb start to the spring season. The team continued their undefeated season sweeping Regis on Monday and beating Littleton yesterday. Such a great start ladies! Keep it up!

A big day yesterday for all three of your ABK Lady Warrior teams.  Varsity started things off on the road by knocking off #1 ranked Columbine with a final score of 2-1.  Dani Babb scored both goals.  The JV squad followed that up with a 3-1 victory at Columbine.  The C Level team was at home and beat Columbine with a final score of 2-0.

  Come out a cheer on the ABK tomorrow as the C Level team takes on Heritage at Heritage at 4:30.  Then on Thursday Varsity plays Heritage at LPS stadium at 4:45 with JV playing Heritage at Heritage at 4:30.  Come out and cheer your Warriors on against Heritage.

General Announcements

This past Saturday our Warrior Winter Guard hosted a local Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association Competition where they hosted 38 teams! What an exciting event it was! They also competed themselves taking 3rd place in their class with a score of 81.65! Excellent job A-Team!"

Congratulations to the Warrior Percussion Ensemble for their 1st place finish this past Saturday at the WGI Regionals competition hosted by Dakota Ridge High School. The Warrior Ensemble finished first in prelims with a score of 86.3, and came out strong in finals scoring an impressive 87.4 points and a 1st place finish in Scholastic Concert Open Class. Way to go, Warriors!!!

JV Girls Lacrosse has an away game at 4 against Bear Creek!  Good Luck to both Teams!!

Have Spring Fever Yet?! If not, you will on Saturday! a PERFECT day for a cup of frozen yogurt and a car wash! Come out and support your AHS Girl’s Lacrosse Team as they work to raise funds to defray the cost of their Spring Break  trip to California to battle some of the state's top lacrosse programs.
Drop your car at the Raceway Lube Plus at 7600 S. University (on the east side of University) and then walk on over to Yogurt land for a cup of refreshing frozen yogurt.
Pick up a flyer at either Yogurt land or Raceway Lube Plus and let them know you’re there to support your Warriors!

We have had a record-breaking Warrior Week, and part of our record comes from the $5300 we raised during our miracle minute yesterday. This really is an impressive number, and the generous spirit of our warrior community has absolutely floored Jordon's family. A big thank you to Mr. Meyer's class for the most money raised.  Donuts coming your way soon! 

Good morning, Warriors! We’re all enjoying the awesome creativity and effort you have put into Weasley Day. Come show your Warrior spirit tonight at Bad Daddy’s from 5-9 and support Arapahoe and Jordon! Remember to dress up tomorrow in your Warrior Week t-shirts and eat lunch at Shawarma from 12-2!

It's time again for the annual Arapahoe High School FBLA Volleyball Tournament! The coed tournament has been changed to Monday, April 10th starting at 6pm. The tournament has a superhero theme this year, so get 8 to 10 of your friends together and pick up a registration packet. Packets will be available this Thursday in the Business Department. Hurry!!  Congratulations to the Arapahoe High School Knowledge Bowl team for their success at the state-wide tournament held at Colorado State University Fort Collins. The team made it through seven rounds of intense competition, and took 6th place overall out of 60 teams in the tournament. They were also ranked 4th in the 5A schools division. They have all worked very hard this past semester, please congratulate them!!!
