 General Announcements

*Hey Warriors, we need you to help cheer on our Unified Basketball team TONIGHT as they take on Eaglecrest @ Eaglecrest HS at 4:15pm.  Then come pack the house on Friday, February 2nd at 4:00pm as the Unified team plays at HOME against Rock Canyon.  


*Good luck to the LPS and Arapahoe Winter Guard team as they kick off their competition season this coming weekend at Florence High School in Colorado Springs. Our team competes at 6:25pm against many regional teams. Go Guard! 


*Warriors - do you want to travel to Japan or Rwanda with other Warriors! You might ride the bullet train to Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic Japanese Ramen or spot giraffes, lions and elephants right outside your jeep on a wildlife safari in Rwanda. An informational travel meeting will be held by Ms. Wood on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:00pm in room E1287.  Please enter through the main east entrance.  You must bring a parent and RSVP for the meeting.  Find the link to RSVP for the meeting and all the other details on the AHS webpage. Don’t miss out on these once in a lifetime trips.

*Come out and cheer on your Girls Basketball teams TONIGHT @ HOME as they take on Eaglecrest.  Join us in celebrating our Sensational Seniors before Varsity plays at 7:00pm after JV at 5:30pm.  C-Level will play at 4:30pm in the Aux gym.   

*Support our Boys Basketball teams as they take on Eaglecrest @ Eaglecrest High School.  Varsity plays @ 7:00pm after JV at 5:30pm.  The Sophomore team will play at 5:30pm after the Freshman at 4:00pm.

*Join us for dinner at Chick-fil-a in Streets of Southglenn and support the Girls Swim & Dive team TONIGHT from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Make sure to mention AHS Swim & Dive and a portion of the proceeds will go to the program.

*Anyone interested in playing Girls Golf this Spring needs to attend the Parent/Player Meeting on Monday, February 5th at 6:00pm in the Forum.  We will discuss important details about the upcoming season and how tryouts will work.  Please tell your parents or guardian to attend.  See Mr. Riordan in the World Language office if you have any questions.

*Congratulations to our Varsity TOMS as they wrapped up their final regional competition last Saturday, finishing 1st place in Game Day and 4th place in Pom! Good luck to the TOMS as they head to Orlando this week for the National Dance Team competition!

*Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball team for their back-to-back Centennial league wins. The boys defeated Smoky Hill on Thursday 62-58 and Cherokee Trail on Saturday 55-49.  Come support them in competition this week as they head to Eaglecrest on Wednesday and take on Mullen on Friday at 7:00pm in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. Come help us celebrate our Fabulous Seniors for Senior Night! Go, Warriors!

*Warriors - you’re invited to take part in the LPS Hour of Code on the EPIC Campus on Monday, January 29th from 4:30pm-6:30pm.  The Hour of Code event is an opportunity for exploration and discovery with computer science and will offer age-appropriate activities for students from kindergarten through high school.  The EPIC Campus has partnered with generous local companies who have provided great prizes to give away at the end of the event. We hope to see you there!


*Our AHS Thespians NEED YOUR help with our Spring Fundraiser!  Fill out the form at AHS Thespians Spring Fundraiser to donate.  We will be using the funds raised to upgrade and add to stage equipment, purchase supplies for our Spring production of Mean Girls and support the theater program where necessary.  Our fundraiser ends TOMORROW, January 26th.  All donations are 100% tax deductible and eligible for many Employee Matching Donation programs. *Anyone interested in being a part of the 2024 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting TODAY at 3:40pm in room W1529.  The meeting should only last 20 min. We will be discussing the upcoming spring season which is just around the corner. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family. If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of next week.  It is VERY important that you hurry up and get registered.

*Congratulations to BOTH our JV spirit teams who captured the Runner Up State Championship for JV Dance AND Cheer on Saturday at Cherokee Trail High School.  Our Toms competed in Hip Hop and our Cheers in Game Day! Way to go Warriors!
