Seniors!  Do you have a January 1st through January 15th college application deadline?  If so, blue forms are due to Mrs. Arnold in the Bookkeeping Office by December 3th.  
The library closed at 1pm on Tuesday, Dec 4th. We setting up for setting up the Hour of Code event.
The 17th Annual Arapahoe Toy Drive is in full swing.  This is an exciting time to be a Warrior! We have started receiving toy and cash donations and are excited to fulfill our 1000 toy goal! Now through December 7th we are accepting toy and cash donations to benefit Castro Elementary and Denver Indian Center.  We appreciate your help making holiday wishes come true. The Miracle Minute and Avalanche of Toys will take place on December 5th during 3rd hour! Start saving your change! Two classes will be awarded prices! Class that raises the most money and the class that donates the most toys!  

AHS is hosting our first annual Hour of Code and STEM immersion event this next Tuesday, Dec 4th. The event will run after school until 6:00 pm. We would love for you to join us and will have events for all grade levels: Dance Party, Hour of Code, Ozobots, Makey-Makey, Coding Mouse, Sphero, Cardboard Challenge, & Drone flying. If you plan on attending or bringing a younger sibling, please sign-up using the link on the AHS website.  See Ms. Bownds (in the library) for more information.

Your Boys Basketball Junior Varsity and Varsity Warriors kick off their season this tonight  night at Arvada West. JV plays at 5:30. Varsity at 7 p.m Come bring your Warrior Pride and cheer your fellow Warriors on to a successful new season.  

Yesterday, our Varsity Swim & Dive continue the season with our second win this week in a meet against Smoky Hill.  The final score was 153 to 32. Megan Bergstrom and Miri Griffin also cut the first state qualifying times of the season. Megan qualified in both the 500 and 200 Freestyle while teammate Miri qualified in the 200 Freestyle.

This afternoon at 5 PM our Varsity and Dive Lady Water Warriors take on Smoky Hill at home.  Come out and cheer them on!

Calling all pizza lovers...  The Arapahoe Baseball team is hosting a family pizza night tonight at Colonna’s Pizza & Pasta from  5:00-9:00. You can dine in or take out. Please mention to your server you are with Arapahoe and our baseball program will get back  25% of all sales. It is truly the best pizza in town. Thank you for your support.

Yesterday, our Varsity & Junior Varsity Swimmers competed against Cherry Creek. Our Lady Water Warriors brought home a win in our first meet this season.  The final score was 270 to 241. Next up is a home meet on Thursday Varsity and Dive vs. Smoky Hill at 5 PM. Come out and cheer on our Lady Water Warriors!

Hey TSA, the Mini Pumpkin Chunkin'  Catapult competition is today is during our TSA Meeting! Remember, this is a qualifying event for the State TSA conference. Please have your Project, portfolio,and LEAP resume' ready for judging. You may also turn in your State TSA conference Money & paperwork during this meeting

The following clubs are signed up for Wednesday morning -- FBLA at 8:40, National Business Honor Society at 8:50, DECA at 9:00 and SAGA  at 9:10.The following clubs are signed up for Wednesday afternoon-- MUSE at 3:40, Speech and Debate at 3:50, Writing Club at 4:00 and Technology Student Association at 4:10. Please report to the band/theatre hallway 5 - 10 minutes early so that we can get your club organized and just in case we are ahead of schedule.

Congratulations to your ABK Boys Varsity Soccer team for winning the 5A State Soccer Championship Friday night in a thrilling 2-1 win over Grandview!  We want to thank all the students and Arapahoe community for coming out to support the boys during the entire playoff run, as it made a difference!  Great job Warriors!

Happy Veteran's Week, Warriors! "To those in uniform serving today and to those who have served in the past, we honor you today and every day." Your Arapahoe Cheerleaders will be competing on Saturday, November 10th at the National Western Complex in Denver. JV performs at 6:51pm and Varsity competes at both 6:34pm and 9:38pm. Wear your black and gold and get ready to yell the Arapahoe spell out with us!

All hockey players who are interested in trying out for the LPS CHSAA Ice Hockey team, it is time to register! The LPS hockey program is a combined team with players from Arapahoe, Heritage, Littleton, and Options.Please go to heritageeagleshockey.com website to register. Tryouts will be held on Monday 11/12 and Tuesday 11/13 from 3:55-5pm at South Suburban Ice Rink.

Tonight at 6:00 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, your ABK Varsity Soccer Team will battle league rival Grandview High School for the Boys’ 5A Colorado State Soccer Championship. Come out with your classmates and cheer your Warriors to the state title!!! Ticket prices set at $10 for adults and $8 for students K-12 and Senior Citizens.  We will be taking a SPIRIT BUS to the game so stop by the Athletic Office and sign up to ride the bus.  No need to worry about driving in traffic or trying to find a parking spot.  There is no cost to ride the bus so get signed up and come out to cheer our boys on to a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!  Go Warriors!!!
