When the weather outside is frightful
The Code of Conduct is so insightful
Even though it’s cold – pajama pants
Are a NO – Are a NO – Are a NO

Please remember pajama pants are NOT allowed during the school day.  No matter the weather, and yes, this includes exam week.

While it is tempting during the winter season, please remember NOT to open doors that are locked for ANYONE.  All visitors must check in at the East entrance and students are allowed to enter through the East and Forum entrances ONLY.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bell, Jingle All the Way…Time to Shop for Toys for Tots…to make a Happy Holiday!”  The day after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year.  Think about shopping for a boy or girl at Eagleton Elementary.  Our goal is 1,000 NEW toys.  Shop the sales for the best buys.  Bring your toys to the Attendance Office after the Thanksgiving break.  Let’s make it a great holiday for the kids!

Hey Key Club!  Just a reminder for those of you that signed up to go to Denver Rescue Mission today at 6:00… if you need a ride, please meet us by the tennis courts at 5:00 and if you are driving yourself, go to the address posted on the Facebook page or ask Mr. McWilliams in the Social Studies office for the address.  Thanks so much.

Attention all Students!  Be part of the human thank you project thanking our community for all of their support last December.  The word THANK YOU will be spelled out by each of you in order to create the letters of the word.  Please meet after school in the cafeteria Thursday, December 4th to take part in this great event.

Artists and writers of Arapahoe-- Thank you for submitting your fine work to the Muse before our first submission deadline.  Please be aware, that you can still submit your creative work to the Muse! Our Fall deadline is December 15th.  Keep it coming!

The student media staffs (yearbook, newspaper, website) need your help and ideas. Tell us your stories. Tell us your important moments and memories, Tell us about other interesting students who we should profile. Check your LPS email account for a link to a questionnaire. 

To juniors and seniors who applied this fall for membership in National Honor Society... letters indicating whether or not you were accepted for membership were mailed to home addresses last week.  These letters also include information on a quick online form that new members should complete immediately, to RSVP for our induction ceremony.  If you applied and have not received a letter, or if you have any questions about NHS, please contact Mr. Smith or Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in language arts.

YOU BETTER WATCH OUT, YOU BETTER NOT CRY, YOU BETTER NOT POUT, I’M TELLING YOU WHY…SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN.  Yes…Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and girl at Eagleton Elementary and the Denver Indian Health and Family Services Center.   Join us by bringing a NEW toy to the Attendance Office.  Our goal is 1,000 toys. Consider shopping after Thanksgiving - the best sales are then.  We know Arapahoe can make it happen!  Let’s make this a special holiday for the kids.

Part of our 'Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness' campaign involves acknowledging our gratitude towards others.  Have you thanked a teacher or staff member today?!?  Please grab a post card from any teacher's classroom, the Guidance office, the Library or at the Attendance window and take a moment to express your sincere gratitude for a teacher or staff member.  Once you've filled out your card, just drop it by the Guidance office or the Library and we will take care of the delivery for you!

Seniors: Herff Jones will be in the cafeteria during lunches today to take orders for graduation announcements and class rings.  Packets with announcement and class ring information can be found in the Guidance office. Also, class ring orders placed in August will be delivered tomorrow during lunches.

Congratulations Varsity and JV Cheers for your outstanding performances at the UCA Mile High Championship on Saturday!  Varsity placed 3rd in their division and JV 6th.  Both teams represented their school proudly.  Awesome job girls!!

Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support the Arapahoe Girls Swim and Dive Team.  Come to Chipotle (across from school) today from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Be sure to tell the cashier you're supporting the Arapahoe Girls Swim and Dive Team to make sure that 50% of the proceeds get donated back to the team.

General Announcements

Congratulations to the following students who have been selected to participate in the 2015 Colorado All State Choir Festival:  Nate Anderson, Cole Bunch, Kathryn Cheney, Noe Romberger, Lily Timmons.

Congratulations to all the students who competed at the DECA District conference on Friday.  We qualified 44 students to compete at the Broadmoor in February!  Great job, Warriors!!

Hey Key Club, please come to the meeting today after school to hear about upcoming events and to pick up your t-shirts.  See you in Room N-2.

What are you up to this winter?  Do you play drums, guitar, piano, or sing?  If not, do you have other musical talents?  Arapahoe's competitive Winter Percussion Ensemble wants you and your talent!!!  Let's be the best in Colorado!  Come to the band room today after school at 3:00 PM and show us what you've got!

Attention TSA, there is an "Official Business" meeting tomorrow after school in Room E9. This is an important meeting as we will be passing out and going over State Conference Paperwork!!
Club United Warriors: Come hang out with our special friends in Room S6 after school today from 2:30 to 3:15. Join the members of Club United.  We will play some games, talk and make Thanksgiving cards for friends and family. Everyone is welcome to come down to S6 for lots of fun and food!

HO!  HO!  HO!  We have a goal of collecting 1,000 toys for Eagleton Elementary and the Denver Indian Center. Please bring toys or cash donations to the Attendance Office before Dec. 5th.  Help make a happy holiday for the children.
