*Warriors! NEXT WEEK starts the First Ever AHS FALL PREMIERE spirit week from October 5th through the 10th. Events will include:

• "A Night with the Stars" virtual Talent show on October 5th...the link will be on the AHS homepage.

•  "The Red Carpet Affair" on Saturday night Oct. 10th.  With your Glitz and glamour style, enjoy dinner out on the town with a few friends. Many restaurants in the area will be supporting our evening and welcoming our AHS Hollywood Stars! Watch out for The Paparazzi at the Streets of Southglenn!

• Each day next week will be a Hollywood Themed Dress Up day:

• Monday and Tuesday -wear anything Baseball to represent the classic Sandlot movie. 

• Wednesday is Virtually awesome with wacky tacky style to represent your best HOLLY WEIRD  style.

• Thursday and Friday -show your Warrior spirit and bring a blast from the past with High School Musical alive in the halls of Arapahoe.

• You're spirit matters to AHS! Let's make this Fall Premiere Week a Five Star rating!!   

• Ask your STUDENT COUNCIL LEADERS FOR MORE INFORMATION.

 

*Juniors and Seniors! Several colleges are visiting virtually tomorrow - see the college visit calendar on the Post Grad website for the complete listing and sign up in Naviance.  The link to the visit will be posted in Naviance 15 minutes before the visit.  

 

*Seniors!  College Application Boot Camp wraps up tomorrow.  We will cover Courses & Grades, college specific questions, and scholarships.  The meeting link is in the Senior Post Grad Google Classroom.  

*Seniors!  Do you have an October 15th college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form will be due on October 1st by 4:00 PM for all schools with an October 15th application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Hall in the library if you have questions regarding the College Application Tracking Form.

 

*Did someone say free pizza?!!! On October 1st and 2nd, all students will receive a FREE pizza meal in our cafeteria. Extra slices are just $2. Nutrition Services will have some fun giveaways too! 

 

*Warriors! You’re doing a great job with your daily health self-screenings, social distancing, wearing masks, good handwashing and recording your attendance on all virtual days. Keep it up!

Athletics

*Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for their outstanding performances in Wednesday's Centennial League Championships. The boys placed 3rd with one runner earning 2nd Team All-League honors. The girls team repeated as League Champs with four runners earning 1st Team All-League honors. 

*All girls interested in playing Basketball for AHS this coming season please email Head Coach Jerry Knafelc at jknafelc@lps.k12.co.us or jknafelc@q.com, or Coach Melissa Smart at msmart@lps.k12.co.us to receive information on Open Gyms and playing opportunities that are just now beginning. Looking forward to you joining our incredible program!

*Seniors! A representative from Herff Jones will be here today on the South Patio from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Please take a moment to stop by for information about ordering caps and gowns, announcements, class rings, and all other graduation materials! We look forward to seeing you there!

 

*Students who check out a daily Chromebooks or power cords, please return these items to the Library before you leave for the day. By doing this, the Chromebooks will be cleaned, fully charged, and ready to be checked out the next morning.

 

*FBLA is starting up this year! We will start in the virtual world with lettering, competition, and community service events coming up and some will be in person! Come by the business office to see the poster that has the Classroom Code and Membership code to sign up.

*Do you still have an LPS library book checked out from last school year, belonging to a middle school or high school library? We would love to get these books back to their "Home Libraries". Please drop them by our AHS Library, we'll check the books in, then return them for you.      

 

*Remember to keep practicing daily health self-screenings, social distancing, wearing masks and good handwashing.

*Warriors: it is very important for you to check in to your infinite campus account to record your attendance on ALL virtual days. On Wednesdays you must be virtually present for all your class periods throughout the day.

*Congratulations to our Boys Golf Team as they captured the Centennial League Championship for the sixth year in a row!

 

*Congratulations to our Boys Tennis Team as they finished 2nd in regionals and nine players qualified for the state tennis tournament!
