Arapahoe is known for extraordinary things. The Arapahoe Faculty and Administration are so very proud of our students that we want to do something really special for every Warrior. Today during 4th hour lunch periods in the Cafeteria and throughout the entire week, every 4th hour, just show your I.D. card and receive a FREE “ARAPAHOE WARRIOR” BLACK OUT SHIRT – for football, soccer, volleyball and softball. Friday night the football team will be dressed in all black, and if all Warriors wear black we will have an inspiring edge with our “Black Out”! Every day this week show I.D. and get your Free Black Out Shirt for this week, especially Friday. GO WARRIORS!

Hey Warriors! The biggest football game of the year is taking place at Littleton Public Stadium this Friday! Your Arapahoe Warriors take on Heritage at 7:00 pm. We need everyone to come out and cheer for the black and gold! Tickets will go on sale in the cafeteria during lunches beginning Tuesday. Adult tickets are $5 and students with no SBA card will need to purchase a ticket for only $3. Let’s bring home the BrookRidge trophy

Attention all freshmen! This Saturday your undefeated freshmen football team will be taking on Heritage at 9am at the Arapahoe football field and Link Crew will be hosting a tailgate party! Free bagels, donuts, hot chocolate and coffee will be provided, so come out and cheer on the football team with your Link Leaders and friends! This event is free, and it should be a great time!

Hey all you FCCLA’ers: This is just a reminder that your dues and affiliation forms must be turned in by Monday October 4th to qualify for a free chapter t-shirt. The deadline has been extended from Friday to Monday. We will meet in room E2 after school on Monday so come with your dues and affiliation forms and help plan our upcoming events. See you there FCCLA!

Hey dodgeball players! Have you picked up your registration packets for DIFA DECA Dodgeball yet? They’re due Friday, October 8, spots are filling up fast so gather your 5 guys and 5 girls and pick up your registration packets in the Business Office today!

Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for another great performance last Saturday defeating Overland 36-14. The win moves the Freshmen Team record to 4-0 with their next game this Saturday October 2nd against Heritage here at AHS at 9:00 A.M. Come out and support your undefeated Freshmen team as they strive to ”defend the field”.

AHS Girl's Swim and Dive Team registration will be on today from 5:30-7:30 in the AHS cafeteria. There will be a 6pm meeting with Coach Richmond for new swimmers. Please bring a parent with checkbook and calendar and the swimmer to try on suits.

Gather five guys and five girls and pick up a registration packet for your team in the Business office beginning TODAY.

Congratulations to all three boys soccer teams who routed Mountain Range on Saturday. Fresh/Soph won 5 – 0; JV won 3 – 0; and Varsity won 4 – 0. Good job boys.

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV football teams for their victories against Overland last weekend.
· Varsity won 45-20, which brings their record to 3-1
· JV won 29-14, which also brings their record to 3-1

"Congratulations to both the boys and girls cross country teams for sweeping the team divisions at the Chatfield Challenge yesterday. The freshman boys, freshman girls, varsity boys, and varsity girls all won first place in their divisions out of a total of 40 competing schools."

Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for another outstanding win Saturday morning over Fossil Ridge 34 - 7.Great job defending the field. The win pushes the Freshmen team record to 3 and 0. The Freshmen will travel to Overland to play the Trailblazers this coming Saturday at 9:00 AM, come out and give them your support.

The NCAA/NAIA Orientation will be held today during lunches in the Forum for those who signed up - see you there!

Congratulations to the jv golfers who finished first place out of sixteen teams at Fitzsimons golf course. Congrats to the varsity golfers who finished in second place out of 24 teams at Riverdale Knolls.

The Warrior football teams, fans and alumni celebrated victory at homecoming:
· Varsity team won 59-17
· JV team won 26-21

HAAAAAPPY Spirit Day warriors! Tonight is the Varsity football game vs. Fossil Ridge at LPS Stadium at 7pm. Let’s support our boys as they battle for victory! And of course, the Homecoming Candy Land Dance is TOMORROW in the main gym from 8-11pm. Today is the last day to buy tickets for $10 during lunch, or you can buy them for $15 at the door! Dress is semi-formal. Tomorrow is also the Homecoming Parade at 10am in the West Lot. You can check out all the different floats and watch the band and color guard perform! See you there!

Students please remember that you and your guest must bring your ID’s to the dance tomorrow night.

Attention all FCCLA members: Plan to meet today after school to complete our float for tomorrow’s homecoming parade. Tomorrow, please meet in the east parking lot at 8 am. Don’t forget your candy for the parade! See you then FCCLA!

The Homecoming Football Tailgate hosted by Link Crew will begin in the west student parking lot at 4p.m. Activities include water balloon volleyball, Baker ball, face painting, dance offs, and hula hoop contests. Bring $3 to cover the cost of hot dog, chips, soda, and a one way bus ride to the Varsity football game.

Congrats to the freshman, sophomore, jv, and varsity volleyball teams for their sweep of Arvada West last night. The crowd was awesome, thanks so much for your support!

On Friday September 17th, the Homecoming Football Tailgate hosted by Link Crew will begin in the west student parking lot at 4p.m. Activities include water balloon volleyball, Baker ball, face painting, dance offs, and hula hoop contests. Bring $3 to cover the cost of hot dog, chips, soda, and a one way bus ride to the Varsity football game.

Ticket selling for this year’s fall talent show will be during both lunches from September 20 to the 23. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Ticket cost is $5. The show will be September 23 at 5 and 7 p.m. in the theater. Don’t miss out on Arapahoe’s talent. Also, if you have made the show… please go and see Hitchens or Lhotta ASAP!

If you are unscheduled 3rd hour today the theatre movement class will be giving a performance of the hip-hop dance routine they learned from an artist at the Denver Center Theatre Academy. We will be rehearsing for a majority of the period and give the final performance about 10 minutes before class is over (10:20.)

Tonight's the night! Volleyball takes on Arvada West for their homecoming match. Games are at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:15. Come help cheer the teams on to victory!

Happy Wacky Tacky Wednesday! Hope you eat lots of Laffy Taffies! Tomorrow is Sports Day, so gear up, make the play, and bump, set, spike it, cuz that’s the way we like it! Or, just wear your favorite team’s jersey!

Congratulations to the Warrior Band and Color Guard on an awesome performance at the state parade championships in Arvada last Saturday! The band earned second place in 5A. The band earned the highest music score, and the Color Guard earned the highest Color Guard score. WAY TO GO WARRIORS!!!!

Athletics
Congratulations to the Sophomore volleyball team for taking 1st place at the Heritage Tournament this weekend. The team beat Heritage in the finals to win the title. The team was led by All-tournament player Lindsay Gendill and Tournament MVP Brittnee Albertsen. Way to go girls!

Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for another impressive win on Saturday defeating Palmer High school 47-0. The win moves the team record to 2 and 0. The victory was a total team win with contributions from the Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Come out and support your Freshmen team here at AHS on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM in their homecoming game against Fossil Ridge High School

Auditions for the fall talent show are Wednesday September 8th from 5 – 7 pm in room E13 and Thursday September 9th from 2:30 – 4:30 pm in room E13. Please sign up in the main office for a slot for auditions.

Seniors, your yearbook photo and biography is due by September 10th. Please deliver them to the journalism room, E8. Contact the yearbook adviser, Mr. Anderson, if you have not yet taken a senior portrait and need to make arrangements to have one taken at the high school.

Hey seniors this is your last year to help create your classes’ homecoming parade float. Help make this year possible by coming to Jordan Hall’s house this Saturday at noon. Talk to your senior class officers for more information. Go seniors!

Athletics
Hey Warriors, the volleyball team kicks off it's season tonight with a home game against Heritage! Sophomores play at 4, jv and freshman at 5, and varsity at 6:15. Come out and cheer them on to their first win over the Eagles!

All girls interested in playing golf next spring, please attend a fall meeting today at 2:30 in Room S-11. If you are in a fall sport, please just drop by to pick up information.
Attention all Warriors, a reminder that all students not involved in a sport, an activity or a club, need to leave the campus by 3pm daily. Loitering will not be tolerated.
