Tonight is the show Cool Guys Don't GO Out With Smart Girls. Come see the best actors in school put on a show about social norms in high school. Tonight is the only night the show is running, so come see this free performance at 7:00 pm.

Athletics

The Varsity wrestling team shocked #9 ranked Cherry Creek in a thrilling, come from behind victory last night in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. Great job Warriors!



Great job AHS Dive team who placed first in both the 11 and 6 dive categories in the LPS diving championship Wednesday night!!  And congratulations to seniors Courtney Cissel and Brenna Mac for qualifying for State.  AHS divers Courtney Cissel, Erin Buckley and Molly Little placed first, second, and third respectively in the 11 dive category and Brenna Mac and Haley Igoe placed first and third in the 6 dive competition. 

Your Arapahoe Varsity girls basketball team are now 11 and 4 on their season after their win over Cherokee Trail 79-62.  A great team contribution by nine players scoring!  Top scorers were Jennah Knafelc (28), Katie Crowley (11), Macy Ziegler (10), Annabelle Brewer (8), and Ellie Kearby (8). Jordyn Vega made an awesome 3 point basket at the buzzer of the 3rd period to help put the team on top by over twenty heading into the 4th period. Overall teamwork led to the WIN!  A HUGE shout out to the MOWB (Men of Women's Basketball) for their support and their awesome player face boards to help cheer on the team!  The girls basketball teams take on Grandview tonight here at Arapahoe! Varsity is at 7:00 p.m., JV and C Teams play at 5:30. Come out and support the teams!! Let's fill the stands for the girls!!

Everyone join us Monday, February 2 in the Main Gym to cheer on our Unified Basketball and Unified Cheers. We take on Englewood High School.  The games have been exciting and close, so if you need a reason to see how Unified Represents, come check your Unified team out. See you Monday night 7:00 p.m. in the Main Gym.

Are you ready for some football?!  In honor of the big showdown between the Seahawks and the Patriots on Sunday, Friday is designated as NFL day-- dress in support of your favorite team.  Sign up during lunches throughout the week to show off your football skills and win some prizes during lunchtime activities on Friday!

Students, be sure to check your school email and complete a survey for the Arapahoe Herald. We are covering the topic of low gas prices and how they impact student drivers here at Arapahoe. The survey will close today at 2:30 so please fill it out as soon as possible. Thanks!

Tomorrow night go see a free show at 7:00 pm as the AHS Company class performs the show Cool Guys Don't Go Out With Smart Girls. Bring a date, bring a friend, bring everyone you know - it's free!

Congratulations to everyone who competed this past weekend at National Qualifiers for Student Congress! Six people from Arapahoe’s speech and debate team competed over two days in hopes of advancing to nationals this summer. Congratulations to Ell Eshleman for taking fourth and earning an alternate spot for nationals!

Are you ready for some football?!  In honor of the big showdown between the Seahawks and the Patriots on Sunday, we'll be having lunchtime activities this Friday.  Sign up during lunches throughout the week to show off your football skills and win some prizes!

Sophomores and Juniors:  Anyone interested in taking a Concurrent Enrollment class next fall at Arapahoe Community College should plan on attending a meeting today in the Forum. This will take place during both lunches, so feel free to bring your lunch.  Applications will be available at that time and the deadline to register is February 20th. This is another great opportunity to earn both high school and college credit. Please see your counselor for more information.
