General Announcements
Funeral arrangements for Nick Lane will be at Grace Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 15. Viewing is from 10am to 11am. The funeral service begins at 11am. A brief reception at the church will follow the service. The church is located 1 long block East of Broadway on Arapahoe Road.

Attention FCCLA: If you are planning to attend state conference or the culinary events at Johnson & Wales please plan to attend our meeting today after school in room E2. Also, those of you on the cupcake war team will meet briefly afterwards. See you Friday FCCLA!

This is a very important announcement for all TSA members attending state. Registration events are posted outside room E6. Please check them TODAY and let Mr. McMullen know if there are any errors. After midnight tonight, no changes can be made!!

Hello Arapahoe Ladies! It’s your turn!!! It’s time for the 2011 Arapahoe High School Winter Dance where the girls ask the guys! “A Night in Lights” will be held Saturday, January 22nd from 7-10 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria. Tickets will go on sale beginning Tuesday, January 18th during both lunches. The cost is $10 per person in advance and will go up to $15 per person at the door. The dress is semi formal, and we have acquired the awesome DJ from last spring’s Prom!!!! So don’t wait to ask that special someone to “A Night in Lights”. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors may pick up yellow guest forms in the Attendance Office. Guest forms are due back by January 18.

Ever have that feeling that you missed something important, and you can’t change it? How often do you get a second chance? Well now you have it, but today is the last day. The Muse has extended its Fall deadline into spring, and we are accepting poems, essays, stories and artwork. So make your mark, especially you seniors, by sending us your writing or artwork, and get published! This is your last chance—don’t miss it! Send us your creative work today!

Athletics
The Lady Water Warriors last night defeated Cherokee Trail. Freshman Jordan Rowe qualified for state in last nights meet. Don’t forget to come support them next week on Tuesday against Heritage, and Thursday against Smoky Hill.

Come support Boys Basketball tonight (Friday) as all four teams play at Mullen High School against the Mustangs. The games begin at 4:30, with the state's #1-ranked varsity team scheduled to tip off at 7:00. Go Warriors!
Who's got spirit? We've got spirit! Come show your Warrior spirit as your Lady Warriors take on Mullen at home tonight; JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00!
Girls Tennis-Change of location: The January 18th tennis tryout meeting for players and parents has been moved to the cafeteria at 7pm. Please note this change of location for the meeting.

Attention all boys interested in the Arapahoe Boys Swimming and Diving Team. Registration will be held on Wednesday, January 19th, at 6:30 PM, in the AHS cafeteria. There will be a short informational meeting followed by registration and equipment orders. Swimmers, divers and their parents should plan to attend. All returning team members should receive registration documents by email prior to the registration night. Any new team members can find these documents on our web site at www.ahsboysswimdive.com or through our link on the AHS Activities home page.
