Announcements:

Yearbooks will be available in the cafeteria at both lunches and after school until 3 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Key Club last meeting of the year will be today in Room C16.

Attention Upcoming Graduates:  If you have a name that is hard to pronounce or is different than the norm, please see Mrs. Bradley if your last name begins with L through the end of the alphabet and Mr. Jansen if your last name begins with A-K. Fill out an index card stating how your name is pronounced phonetically and give it to them asap. This includes students Bradley and Jansen currently have in class. They can be found in the PE area.

May is time for the American Speech Language and Hearing Association to celebrate Better Speech and Hearing Month!  Please join Mrs. Sibona, the AHS Speech-Language Pathologist, on Thursday during lunch where you can learn about communication tools, skills and strategies to help people with communication difficulties.  Swing by her table in the cafeteria to learn more and have some fun!  Seniors:  this is a good time to learn about a possible career in speech language pathology.   And to all students:  anything that hurts your ability to communicate can limit your life.  If you have difficulties expressing your ideas or understanding others, see Mrs. Sibona this May during Better Speech and Hearing Month!

Athletics:

Tonight the undefeated AHS Boys Varsity Lacrosse team plays Heritage in the first round of the playoffs at LPS Stadium. Game time is 6 p.m. Come out and support your Warriors.

The girls JV lacrosse team ended the season Friday evening with a victory over Heritage/Littleton. They were 2 goals short of an undefeated season. Great job ladies for a wonderful season and Coach Levi once again you had the spirit and energy to coach these girls to such a wonderful season!

Attention all cross country and distance runners, or others who are interested in building their running endurance.  Come to the Summer Running Club informational meeting today at the beginning of your 4th hour lunch period outside at the baseball bleachers. If you are interested but unable to attend, please see Coach Lutz or the cross country website for registration materials.

Attention girls JV soccer players. We will be checking in uniforms today at 2:30 in Room C-7. Make sure you bring everything. This meeting is mandatory.

Attention Seniors!  A Late Signing Day Ceremony will be held at Arapahoe on Wednesday, May 9th at 10:30 in the cafeteria.  If you have made a commitment to compete in athletics at the college level this fall please stop by the Athletic Office and see Mr. Sisler or Mrs. Weems.

Warriors always take care of one another.
