General Announcements
*Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man! On Wednesday, members of FBLA decorated gingerbread houses. Today in the cafeteria during both lunches, you can vote for your favorite by donating cash or loose change. All proceeds go to support the AHS Toy Drive!
*In Speech and Debate news, the team is traveling again! Tomorrow they're headed to Chatfield High School, to compete in the long-standing Chatfield Chill Tournament! In the past at this tournament, we've made it to the finals in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and we're eager to make it to finals again this year in as many different events as we can! Good luck, Warriors!
*Before the end of this semester please collect all items you have lost so they can be back in your home for the holidays! Please check the Lost and Found table in the cafeteria to claim your stuff! Any small valuables can be claimed at the Attendance Office.
*Attention all G/T students: please join us for a holiday social in the library after school on Wednesday, December 11. We will have hot chocolates and holiday treats to wish you a happy holiday season. Hope to see you there!
*Hey Warriors! We are supporting Field Elementary students this year for our 18th Annual Toy Drive! New unwrapped toys and cash donations are accepted through next Monday, Dec. 9th. Thanks for your generosity!
*The Miracle Minute and Avalanche of Toys will take place on Monday, December 9th during Tribe. Do some toy shopping over the weekend and gather your change! Two Tribe classes will be awarded prizes - the class that raises the most money AND the class that brings in the most toys!
*Warriors, please check your LPS email account for a link to a survey for the yearbook. The email was sent on Tuesday. Please answer the questions, and we thank you for your input.
*Chromebooks and chargers checked out for the day need to be returned to their home in the library at the end of the day today. Overdue chromebooks and chargers prevent other students from having the ability to check them out. Please see the librarians with any questions. Thank you for your diligence to return these items.
Athletics
*Your LPS Hockey Team kicks off their season this weekend with a home opener on tonight vs. Battle Mountain at South Suburban at 7:45 PM. They play again Saturday against Summit High School at South Suburban at 6:30 PM. The team is ranked in the top 10 in the preseason power ranking and is looking forward to a strong CHSAA season!
*Attention Warrior Hoop Fans -varsity boys are playing Legend at Chaparral High School tonight at 7:00 PM - see you there!
*Come out and support our Varsity Toms on Saturday morning as they compete at CHSAA State. Competition is being held at the Denver Coliseum with their prelim performance at 9:45 AM. Go Toms!!
*Vote, vote, vote for Coach Sherman who is nominated for coach of the year! Just Google Schomp Honda coach-of-the-year to vote online to support Coach Sherman!
