General Announcements
*Attention all Arapahoe Artists… The Art Attack is Back! This year's show will be virtual and we are currently accepting submissions. To enter, look for the QR code found on signs and screens around the building. For more information or answers to any questions please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Ms. Davidson, or Ms. King in the Art Department.
*Juniors, sophomores, and freshman students and families! Our virtual College and Career Night is two weeks from today! We hope this is an event you will attend each year you are at AHS. Freshman sessions provide foundational overviews, sophomore sessions are more specific to the career and college exploration stage, and junior sessions zero in on topics crucial to the college application process. This event also includes presentations for those interested in community college, trade school, apprenticeships, or entering the workforce with specific skills. There is literally something for everyone. Save the date of Monday, March 8th from 7:00-9:00 PM! Session details are coming soon.
*Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores! There are six virtual college visits this coming Wednesday. If you would like to learn about Miami University, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon University, Metro State, UCCS, or UCD, log in to Naviance to sign up!
*If you are interested in 10th grade Honors American Literature, AP Lang. or AP Lit. please find the application on the Language Arts homepage. Applications are due no later than March 19th.
*Students interested in trying to test out of the required AHS swim course can sign up to take the Swim Waiver test this March. The sign-up for the swim waiver will be open on March 1st. Please ask Mrs. Abner if you have any questions.
*CALLING ALL AHS SNOWBOARDERS AND SKIERS!! Make sure to email Mrs. Abner your gnarly videos or photos by February 28th. Film or photo your talents in horizontal format, no more than 2 minutes. Kabner@lps.k12.co.us
*Free virtual Alive @ 25 class for Arapahoe High School students is Wednesday March 3rd, 4:00pm - 8:30pm. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us and the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
*Warriors! Great job of wearing your AHS ID and lanyard at all times, performing your daily health screening, wearing a mask, washing your hands often and socially distancing. Keep it up!
*NEXT WEEK IS A REVISED SCHEDULE DUE TO NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 5. Group A will attend their normal in-person days of Monday and Thursday. Group B will attend their in-person days on Tuesday and Wednesday (PLC late start day.)
