 General Announcements  

*Did you ever want to visit Brazil or Argentina? Well here’s your chance.  AHS has a trip planned for the spring of 2027.  If you are interested, we are having a Parent/Student meeting this Thursday, November 6th at 6:00pm in the Forum.  See Mr. Riordan for more information.


*The American Sign Language Club will be meeting TOMORROW after school in C1436. Come learn new signs, meet new people, and have some fun!  No experience needed, everyone is welcome. 


*Congrats to your Warriors Mixed Ultimate Frisbee team on their 5th place finish at Division 2 State. They won 5 of 6 games this past weekend! Look for more opportunities to play Ultimate this spring season beginning in February - all boys and girls are welcome to play. 


*The Arapahoe Ski and Ride Club will be meeting TOMORROW at 3:45pm in room E1287.  Come by and see what we’re all about.  We hope to see you there!


*Hey Warriors! Are you a photographer or interested in becoming one? If so, come be a part of the Arapahoe Photography club! Join us this Thursday, November 6th at 7:30am in room E1288. It's low commitment, and if you can’t make the meeting feel free to join us after school during different events! No previous experience is necessary! Look at the flyers around the school to find our Instagram and Google classroom. 


*Warriors - be part of an unforgettable night of rhythm, rhyme, and raw expression! Join us for the 15th Annual LPS Poetry Slam, where the atmosphere is friendly and fierce, and you'll be part of an LPS tradition that speaks from the heart. Want to compete? Scan the QR code on posters around the school to secure your spot on stage. The LPS Poetry Slam starts at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 11th at Options High School. See Ms. Leclaire in the English office if you have any questions.


*Current sophomore, juniors or seniors who are interested in trying to test out of the required swim course have an opportunity to take the Swim Waiver test on Wednesday, November 12th from  7:45 am - 9:00am.  You can review the test expectations herePlease use this link to sign up for one of the swim slots.  You must sign up to take this test.  Space is limited to 20.  Talk to Mrs Abner or Mrs Bradley if you have any questions. 


*Warriors - This year's spring musical will be ‘Chicago’ and musical auditions will be held November 10-13 directly after school in the theatre. No experience needed, just come try out! Sign up for a tech or acting audition slot in the Thespian Google Classroom which also includes all show and audition details. You will need to look ahead at the audition materials, so begin rehearsing ASAP! See Mr. Brooks, Mr. Fischer, or Mr. Funk in the Performing Arts department with any questions. 



Athletics

*Girls Basketball would love to have you join us for "Winter on the Hardwood". Our Preseason Camp runs this week from 3:45pm-6:00pm.  If you can’t make it today but you want to join our amazing players and program, reach out to Coach Knafelc at jknafelc@lps.k12.co.us

*Congratulations to our Warrior Varsity Football team for making it to the 5A CHSAA State Football playoffs!  We have home-field advantage and will play against the Westminster Wolves this Friday, November 7th at Littleton Stadium at 7:00pm.  No Athletic Passes will be accepted for this game.  Student tickets are $7 and adult tickets are $10.  Seniors over 60 and children under 5 are free.

Kick off the Warrior 25–26 basketball season with the ultimate showdown: Arapahoe vs. Heritage! Join us in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium on Thursday, November 20th, 6:00pm-9:30pm for the 3rd Annual CROSSTOWN THROWDOWN.  We’ve got a 3-point contest, dunk contest, Unified Basketball game, and more! Get ready for a night packed with energy, rivalry, and community pride.  Get your tickets for the 2025 Cross Town Throw Down 2025.   Student ticket holders receive a CTTD lanyard. Concessions sold and special guests!
