*Warriors! Representatives from Arapahoe Community College and the EPIC campus will be in the cafeteria at lunch TODAY to talk with students about CE and work-based learning opportunities available to AHS students next year. Stop by and check it out as you begin selecting your classes for the upcoming school year

Athletics

*Warrior Athletes - Arapahoe will be having a Signing Day Ceremony on Wednesday, February 4th to celebrate the student athletes that will be committing to play at the next level.  If you are planning to be a part of this with your coach, family and friends, please submit your senior photo to Mrs. Kelly in the Athletic Office by TODAY!  Any questions, please see Mrs. Kelly. 


*Good luck to our Basketball teams TONIGHT as both Boys and Girls will take on the  Mullen Mustangs @ Mullen High School.  Varsity Boys will be at 7:00pm, Varsity Girls will be at 5:30. JV Boys will play at 5:30 and Girls JV will start @ 4:00pm.


*Congratulations to your Girls Swimming and Diving team who closed out their dual meet season with an enthusiastic win over Grandview last night on Senior Night. Thanks to everyone who came to the pool last night in support of our seniors and our team!  Go Warriors!


*Attention AHS Boys, there’s just a few more weeks to get some open gym experience for LPS Boys Volleyball.  Join us for open gyms this Saturday,  January 24th from 2:00-4:00pm at Heritage High School's main gym and Monday, January 26th from 7:00-9:00pm here at Arapahoe. *Warriors - Flag Football begins offseason prep with lifting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning next Tuesday, January 27th. These sessions will be from 6:00am-7:00am in the AHS weight room and gym. Get there and discover your best self!


*The ABK Girls' Soccer season is right around the corner, and preseason activities are happening!  If you are interested in trying out and have not received any communication about the season, please stop by to see Coach Hayes in the PE department or Coach Winn in the social studies department to get more information.  


*Attention All Girls Lacrosse players and anyone interested in playing Girls Lacrosse this spring, please attend the Pre-season Player meeting on Wednesday, February 4th in the Forum at 4:00pm.  Please see Ms. Collins or Sr. Captains Julia M, Maddie M, Julianne D, or Hayley O to answer any questions.

Bring in your gently used hardback or paperback books to be reused or recycled.  You can also bring in cd's, dvd's or video games.  Look for boxes near the forum and science department entrances.  Help us, help you reduce your clutter!

*Come cheer on your Warrior Wrestlers TONIGHT in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium.  JV/Freshman matches will begin @ 5:27pm.  Then we will CELEBRATE our FABULOUS Seniors!  The Varsity Boys & Girls will begin after the ceremony at 6:57pm.


*PACK THE POOL!! TONIGHT your Girls Swimming & Diving team hosts Grandview in their last dual meet of the season. Come help us celebrate our 13 Amazing Seniors at Senior Night before the competition at 4:30pm.  Then stay for the meet starting at 5:30pm.  Have fun tonight girls, and swim fast!

*Warriors come Unite with Arapahoe Unified Basketball team TODAY after school in the main gym at 4:00pm. Come cheer with us and unify with Unified. We are also looking for someone to help us with announcing our games. See Mrs Abner if you’re interested.

Athletics

*Calling all Warriors to pack the stands in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium TONIGHT at 5:30pm. The top 2 - 6A Girls basketball teams will be playing.  Your WARRIOR Girls Varsity ranked 2nd will take on Cherokee Trail, who is currently ranked 1st.  Let's make it a White-out! Whatever your plans were, change them to BRING THE WARRIOR ENERGY home tonight!  The Girls JV team will play at 4:00pm in the Aux gym.


*Our Boys Basketball teams are also playing TONIGHT @ HOME.  Boys Varsity will play at 7:00pm and the Boys JV team @ 5:30pm in the Aux gym against Cherokee Trail.


*Congratulations to the Girls Swim and Dive team on their dominating victory over Eaglecrest last night.  Your Warriors won 11 of the 12 events in the meet!  The girls are back in action at HOME TOMORROW night.  Come help us celebrate our Amazing Seniors at Senior Night!

If you’re interested in travel, global opportunities, or exploring meaningful options after high school, make sure to stop by the Gap Year Fair TONIGHT, right here at school.  The fair runs tonight from 6:00PM-8:30pm, and is completely free for all students & families.  You’ll have the chance to connect with gap year, summer, internship, and global programs—and just for attending, you’ll be entered to win a $500 flight anywhere in the world! Bring your friends and earn more chances to win. Eligible students can also apply to win a $5,000 scholarship toward their dream program. Don’t miss this event!

*Warriors - grab your Baguettes and Berets, we are headed to France!  All Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors interested in exploring the culture and cuisine of France are invited to learn more about the trip at our family info meeting on January 20th @ 6:00pm. Please RSVP to the QR code on the posters around school and in any Science room. Ask Ms. Wood in Science  if you have any questions.


*Warriors! We are looking for a few volunteers for LPS’s ‘Hour of Code’ on January 26th at EPIC campus starting @ 4:45pm. If you are interested, please come see Mrs. Romero. 


*Hey Warriors! If you’re thinking about what comes after the school year—or just curious about travel, global programs, or learning beyond the classroom—this event is for you.  On Tuesday, January 20th AHS is hosting a FREE Gap Year Fair from 6:00pm-8:30pm, open to all students & families.  You’ll see programs offering gap years, summer programs, internships, travel, and global learning opportunities—both in the U.S. and abroad. When you attend, you can enter into two raffles: one to win a $500 flight to anywhere in the world! Bring your friends and earn more chances to win. *Good Luck to our Boys Varsity Boys Basketball team as they play Columbine TONIGHT at Columbine High School starting at 7:00pm.

*Don't forget to attend the Toms Nationals Sendoff in the gym this Saturday night, January 17th at 6:30pm. The JV and Varsity Toms will be performing their competition routines from this season and they will be recognizing all Toms Alumni in attendance, see you there!
