General Announcements

All past speech team members, or students interested in joining the speech team, please come to the meeting on Aug. 31, 2:30, Room C18.
  
If you are interested in human rights and having fun----come to our first Amnesty International meeting.  The kick off party will be Tuesday, August 30 in C-8 right after school.  If you like cool kids, food and helping people in our world, be there on Tuesday the 30th.

Homecoming Talent Show auditions are coming up!  They are September 13th and 14th after school.  You can start signing up for an audition spot on September 6th in the front office.  Any questions see a junior class officer or sponsor.

Attention all juniors!  If you are interested in being the junior class Treasurer, please see Ms. Abner in the PE office or Ms. Ackerman in the English office to pick up an application.  You will not have to run, just turn in your application!!!

Did you know that over the last 24 years, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has built 230 homes housing over 1000 people and worldwide, Habitat for Humanity has built over 200,000 homes?
If you would like to be a part of this come to our organizational meeting in room C-18, after school on Wednesday, August 31.Hope to see you there.

If you are interested in being part of an amazing team of students who will build this year’s magazine from scratch, join us for our first meeting on August 31st right after school, in C-17.  The last day of August is the first day of your opportunity to join a team that is doing something completely different.  Anyone interested in leadership positions in the Muse must attend this meeting, or see Mr. Miles in the English office. Come check out the Muse on Wednesday the 31st, in C-17.

The DECA Store is taking care of business…offering frappucinos, swim goggles, safety glasses and book covers!  Please stop by and check out the newly remodeled DECA store and the Fall 2005 clothing line!!!

HOLLEY AND THE CLASS RING EXPERTS FROM HERFF JONES WILL BE ON CAMPUS TO TAKE ORDERS FOR YOUR EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM ARAPAHOE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS RING. DEPOSIT INFORMATION AND CLASS RING PACKETS CAN BE PICKED UP IN THE MAIN OFFICE RECEPTION AREA. THE STAFF FROM HERFF JONES WILL SIZE YOUR FINGER FOR A SURE FIT. PLACE YOUR CLASS RING ORDER ON:

Hey FBLA members and all those interested in joining.   FBLA paperwork will be available Wednesday morning in the business office.  Thanks to everyone for stopping by for our first meeting, we had an excellent turnout and look forward to an exciting year.  See you September 12th for our next meeting.


Athletics
Thanks to all the parents who helped at the Annual Cross Country Intersquad Race and Picnic.  It was a success.
