HO! HO! HO! The toy box was overflowing with close to 200 toys this morning! We truly appreciate all of your contributions and so will the kids at Fairview Elementary. However, we are still in need of about 800 more toys. Come on Warriors, show us your spirit and bring those toys in!

A reminder to all National Honor Society inductees: Please remember that we have a rehearsal after school today at 2:30 in the theater. The rehearsal will last no more than an hour. The ceremony itself starts tonight at 7:00.

Attention to all NHS volunteers who are helping with the induction ceremony tonight: If you are handing out programs, please plan to be here outside the theater by 6:15 p.m. If you are helping with refreshments, please arrive in the cafeteria by 7:30 p.m.

Overdue books & library fees $5.00 and over will now be posted in Infinite Campus.

Take time to occasionally log into your Infinite Campus portal, choose the Fee tab and check your records. Thanks!

FCCLA will have a very important meeting after school today in Room E2. We will be discussing the AHS toy drive, our adopt-a-family project, and our holiday social. We will also make plans to discuss our upcoming district and state conferences in February and April. See you there FCCLA.

Attention Academic Peer Coaches! Please see Mr. Low in the Study Center to sign up for next semester’s peer coaching hour.

FBLA is having a Holiday get together to write letters to the troops and watch the movie ”The Santa Claus”. There will be hot cocoa served. See you in room S1 afterschool!

This Tuesday, Dec. 4th the library will be closing at 2:16 for a staff meeting. If you need to utilize the library please try to do so before we close. Sorry for any inconvenience.

"Attention All TSA MEMBERS, Our annual Holiday party is this Tuesday December 4th! Please join us and bring a toy for "Toys for Tots". There will be Food and Fun . Bring a friend who is interested in TSA and win a prize. It is Important for all members to attend as we will be taking our Club picture for the year book promptly at 2:25.

There will also be a short Officer meeting tonight, Monday Dec 3.

Four of our Speech and Debate members were nominated for outstanding speaker at Cherry Creek's Student Congress. They are - Will Hea, Tony Junta, Ashley Lambert, and Alyse White.

On Saturday, the following students placed at the Overland Candlelight Speech and Debate Tournament:

Nathan Arnold - 4th place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate

Alexa Ankele - 4th place in Poetry Interpretation

Liana Boraas - 6th place in Dramatic Interpretation

Congratulations to all members of the Warrior Marching Band who performed in this past weekend’s Parade of Lights! Arapahoe placed 2nd in Friday night’s Music/Marching Competition and was awarded $350! Way to go Warrior Marching Band!!

Over the weekend Arapahoe Thespians attended the Colorado State Thespian Conference with 2100 theater students from around the state. Molly Goodman was named outstanding Senior Technical Student for the entire conference and Laine Greaves-Smith won the award for Scenic Design. All auditioning seniors received call backs and scholarship offers.

Athletics

Congratulations to Arapahoe diver Dani Howe who qualified for State. Dani came in first at the Home Meet against Highlands Ranch on Thursday.

Attention Chess Club Members! Please attend the Chess Club Practice after school today at 2:30 p.m. in the Enrichment Room. Our first chess match is Thursday, December 6th.

Hey Habitat for Humanity members, we have an important meeting today. This meeting is mandatory if you are participating in the December 8th build date. Also, we have new build dates available for other members.

If you are interested in joining the Young Republicans, we are having a meeting today, right after school in room C26.
