Congratulations once again to the Arapahoe Boys Lacrosse team on their outstanding performance in winning the State Championship last Saturday, May 16th against Mullen at Invesco Field. The Athletic Office will be recognizing this accomplishment with a special assembly on Friday, May 22nd at 12:15 pm in the Main Gym.
Please come and join us in honoring the players and their coaches.

The gate will open at 4:00 p.m. with an admission fee of $7 for students and $10 for adults. Parking will be $5 from 3 to 4:30 for all High School lacrosse fans. Your tickets for the Arapahoe/Mullen game will also be good for the Denver Outlaws/Chicago Machine Game scheduled for 7 p.m. Please come support your Warriors. Congratulations to the Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team for its epic victory over the Regis Raiders yesterday at Englewood Stadium. During the second half the offense had control, scoring 7 unanswered goals, and the Black Train defense totally dominated, shutting down Regis' offense. The 11 - 5 victory sends the Warrior Lacrosse Family to the State Championship game this Saturday at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. Not to be discounted in this magnificent victory is the wild cheering of the amazing Arapahoe fans, in particular the
students. This is your victory too. One more game to go and the Team needs your support. Let's fill Invesco Field with Warrior fans on Saturday. Go Warriors!"

Yearbooks MUST BE PICKED UP by Thursday, May 14 -- in order to get books cleared before the week of final exams.

Congratulations to the winning teams in the Girls Golf/Teacher scramble yesterday. There was a tie, so our winners were the teams of Julia Goldsmith, Katy Dyachkova, Katie Abner, Claudia Davis and Reid Howey, Jared Robinson, Rachel Larson and Dr. Esther Song. Our AHS athletic director, Steve Sisler, won the long drive and closest to the pin contests!
The Girls Soccer team advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs and will play Pine Creek today at 7:00 pm at LPSS.

Attention National Honor Society members: Be sure to attend our last meeting of the year Wednesday, May 13 at 2:20 p.m. in room E-9. You will turn in your service logs and meet next year’s officers.
The TSA club will have their “Year End” meeting today at 2:20 in room E10. Let’s celebrate our accomplishments and finalize things for Nationals! It is important for everyone to attend this meeting. Also, a reminder to those attending Nationals, the mandatory parent meeting night is set for Tuesday, May 12th, at 6:30 in the ESC Boardroom! See you today!

The Girls Varsity Tennis team took 12th place in the state tournament over the weekend. The #3 doubles team of Alyssa Gafvert and Teresa Yeh tied for 5th place. Congratulations to all of the girls on a successful season.
The Girls Soccer team advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs and will play Pine Creek on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00 pm at LPSS.
The Girls Lacrosse team also advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs and will take on Kent Denver on Tuesday, May 12th at 4:30 pm at Kent Denver.

The number one seeded Warriors crushed the 9th seeded Chatfield Chargers in a 17 - 5 victory on Saturday at the Quarterfinals. Next up--The Warriors will take on Regis in the semi-finals to be held this coming Wednesday at Englewood High School stadium, time to be announced. Stay tuned. Go Warriors!

Congratulations to the Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team as the Black Train steamrolled another opponent in the playoffs. The number one seeded Warriors crushed the 9th seeded Chatfield Chargers in a 17 - 5 victory on Saturday at the Quarterfinals. Next up--The Warriors will take on Regis in the semi-finals to be held this coming Wednesday at Englewood High School stadium, time to be announced. Stay tuned. Go Warriors!

One of the highlights will be Senior Pianist, Wes Leffingwell's performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, accompanied by our Wind Ensemble. The Pre-Concert Small Ensembles start at 5:30 pm on Saturday, with the main band performances commencing at 6:30 pm. The event is free, and will be Dr. C's final concert at Arapahoe!! Hope you can make it!!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Boys' Lacrosse team in their first playoff victory over the Wheatridge Farmers. Arapahoe's offense and defense dominated in a 19 - 6 win. Thirteen different attackmen, middies, longstick middies, and even a defenseman contributed to the 19 goals and 12 assists, in a superb display of Arapahoe's team unity. The Black Train Defense continued to stop Wheatridge's offensive drives and to produce turnovers. It is important that you take time to fill in the Alternate Course List as many classes and/or periods that you may have been planning to take a course may fill up prior to your time at registration. Don’t forget, many classes require teacher initials and approval. Do not wait until Thursday to try and collect all of them. Again, all registration materials are due to your counselor by this Friday, May 8th!
If you applied for AP Physics B for next year, check your e-mail ASAP to find out whether you were accepted. Students that were accepted, you need to see Mr. Smith by Tuesday after school, to get his signature and sticker on your schedule card, or your spot will potentially be given to another student.
Students interested in serving on the newspaper or yearbook next year should see Mr. Anderson in room E8 to apply.

Congratulations to the Lady Lacrosse Warriors in their game last night against Heritage/Littleton in the quest to regain the Three Sisters Trophy. Scoring for the Lady Warriors was Stacey Birlson with 3 goals and 2 assists, Megan O'Donnell with 3 goals and 1 assist, Stephanie Curtis with 3 goals and 1 assist, Sammy MacCurdy with 3 goals, Beth Ambrozic added 1 goal and 1 assist, and Rachel Sutton had an assist. Jen Weidner had 5 saves in goal in the 1st half, and Chloe Williams added 6 saves in goal in the 2nd half. The game ended in a 13-13 tie. The Lady Warriors would like to thank the fans at the game for their great support.

The girl's varsity tennis team took FIRST PLACE at the Region 3 Tennis Tournament and qualified all eleven players on the team for the State Tournament beginning Thursday. Congratulations to: Sarah Ray, Elly Fryberger, Saryn Mooney, Lara McDougald, Rachel Severson, Kelly Ervine, Margaux Lips, Alyssa Gafvert, Teresa Yeh, Katie Rafaghello and Jessica Wener.
The girls' Gold Lacrosse team finished their 11-2 season with an awesome double-header on Saturday. They defeated Lewis-Palmer with a score of 9-6, followed by a 12-1 victory over Columbine. Goal scorers were Sydney Englehart, Sarah Balkenbush, Emily Kelley, Michelle Scott, Marcia Balkenbush, Sami Streifer, Ashley Fife, and Hope Swearingen. The Warriors had outstanding goaltending by Sami Streifer and Bri Rehberg. Congratulations on an excellent season, ladies!
