General Announcements

Attention Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: Please remember that all Registration Cards and your Alternate Course Lists are due to your counselor today! It is important that you take time to fill in the Alternate Course List as many classes and/or periods that you may have been planning to take a course may fill up prior to your time at registration. Don’t forget, many classes require teacher initials and approval.

Attention incoming link leaders and A-team. Remember our May Play Day today from 3:30-5:30. Meet us in the large gym.

You're all invited to the 2009 Spring Band Farewell Extravaganza this Saturday! We will be celebrating the Arapahoe Band Class of 2009 and all their musical accomplishments. One of the highlights will be Senior Pianist, Wes Leffingwell's performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, accompanied by our Wind Ensemble. The Pre-Concert Small Ensembles start at 5:30 pm on Saturday, with the main band performances commencing at 6:30 pm. The event is free, and will be Dr. C's final concert at Arapahoe!! Hope you can make it!!

Attention N.H.S. members. We need volunteers to help with arena scheduling on Tuesday, May 19th, Wednesday, May 20th, and Friday, May 22nd. Shifts will take place from 11:45-2:15 and from 2:15 to 5:00. Please sign up at Mrs. Lee’s desk if you’re interested. Volunteers can submit their service logs late and can count this as their club activity if needed.

Time is getting near for TSA Nationals! The TSA club will have their “Year End” meeting next Monday, May 11, at 2:20 in room E10. Let’s celebrate our accomplishments and finalize things for Nationals! It is important for everyone to attend this meeting. Also, a reminder to those attending Nationals, the mandatory parent meeting night is set for Tuesday, May 12th, at 6:30 in the ESC Boardroom! See you Monday!

Attention all you “Art Attack” artists! Please pick up your artwork from the Art Department ASAP!!!

Seniors: If you did not pick up your tickets for graduation you can pick them up in the Guidance Office.

If you ordered pictures from Prom, they are available in the Main Office.

Please stop by Mr. Brandberg’s office to pick up your prizes.”

Athletics

The girls soccer team advanced to Round 16 of the state playoffs and will host the Eagles of Dakota Ridge tonight at 7:30 pm at LPSS. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $4 for students. No SBA cards will be accepted. Go Warriors!

There will be a mandatory meeting for all boys, and their parents, who are interested in playing tennis next fall on Monday, May 11 beginning at 6:30 pm. The meeting will take place in room E-9. This is a required meeting for all Boys’ Tennis players.

Attention swimming fans – Arapahoe will host the Centennial League Swimming and Diving championship meet once again. The preliminary swimming events are scheduled to begin tonight at 5:30 PM. Diving prelims are set for tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM. Swimming and diving finals will begin 3 PM.

Attention Cross Country runners: There will be an informational meeting next Thursday, May 16 during either 1st or 2nd lunch in the outdoor classroom for all summer running club participants, as well as prospective fall runners. Please check the Cross Country website or see Coach Seidel or Coach Lutz if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!

The boys lacrosse team will continue on it’s quest for the State Championship by taking on the Chatfield Chargers this Saturday, May 9th with a 4:00 game at Regis Jesuit High School .

The finals of the Centennial League track meet will begin on Saturday, May 9th at 9:45 am at Legacy Stadium.

Congratulations to the Lady Lacrosse Warriors in their 16-12 win over the Mullen Mustangs in the 1st round of playoffs. Stephanie Curtis and Megan O'Donnell each had 4 goals, Sammy MacCurdy added 3 goals and 3 assists, Stacey Birlson had 2 goals, and Rachel Sutton, Analise Stein and Anna Lepry each contributed 1 goal apiece. Good luck to the Lady Warriors in their second round playoff game against Kent next week!

Attention JV Gold Boys Lacrosse Team. Jersey & Bag check in will be this afternoon from 3:30-4:00 at the Powell Shed.
