Ever dreamed of being a star? Do you like to make people laugh? Come audition for the fall play RUMORS, a hilarious and suspenseful comedy by Neil Simon. Optional audition Workshop and short Drama Club Meeting is Wednesday, September 1 after school and Auditions are Tuesday and Wednesday, September 7 and 8. Auditions for the fall talent show are Tuesday September 8th from 5 – 7 pm in room E13 and Wednesday September 9th from 2:30 – 4:30 pm in room E13. Please sign up in the main office for a slot for auditions.

Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for their 2-game sweep against Overland on Saturday. Your Lady Warriors defeated the Trailblazers 11 to 1 and 9 to 3 in Saturday’s Double header. Come by deKoevand Park today at 4:30 to see the Warriors take on Mullen. Go get ‘em Ladies!

It’s time to pull out the crowns again! Nominations for this year’s Homecoming royalty will be held every period in the cafeteria this coming Tuesday, August 31st. Come nominate your classmates to walk down the aisle at the Royalty Assembly on the Tuesday of Homecoming Week!
Attention FCCLA’ers: All officer applications are due to Mrs. Rains by the end of the day today! Don’t miss out on this awesome leadership opportunity. Get your applications in by 3:00 p.m. See Mrs. Rains for any questions or concerns.

Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for defeating George Washington yesterday afternoon. In a close game, the Warriors held on to win by a score of 4 to3. Great Job Warriors! Hey Students, come out and support your Lady Warriors on Saturday at DeKoevand Park as they take on Overland. Game times are 11 and 1.

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV golf teams who both finished in second place behind Cherry Creek at the Centennial League Tournament at South Suburban golf course. The varsity was led by Drew Brumley’s 74, Hunter Kessler’s 76 and Adam Jones’s 79. The JV was led by Pierce Maty’s 79, Kyle Zedaker’s 80, and Kyle Taylor’s 80. In other tournaments the Varsity has been led by Taylor Motsinger and Shane Houston.

Hello Junior Warriors! This Saturday August 28 we will have a float decorating party at Molly O’Donnell’s house at 12pm. Food and drink will be provided. Let’s make this year’s homecoming float the best yet. If you need directions please contact your Jr. Class officers.

This Thursday is the due date for all Freshmen Student Council applications. Please hand in your applications by end of the school day on Thursday to either Mrs. Lee or Mr. Brandberg.

Attention Students: Your senior class panoramic picture will be taken Thursday September 9th. Remember this is the only time a Senior Class Picture will be taken for the rest of your life, so don’t miss out! You only have one chance to be a part of this special event, so be there on Thursday September 9th!! You will be dismissed from your 1st period for the class photo.

You can also pick up blank forms to take home if you need them.

We’re asking students to use this as their primary email address for all school-related work at AHS. For more details, please see the AHS web site.
