General
Announcements
Seniors! The yearbook deadline for your senior
photo and bio is Friday, Sept. 7. We will not use the student ID photo you took at
schedule pickup, so be sure to make arrangements to take a formal portrait. We
will have a professional photographer on campus next Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. She will take your yearbook portrait for only $20. See Mr. Anderson in
the journalism room E-8 for details.
The Back to School Dance is this Friday from
8:00-10:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Please make sure you bring your Student ID's.
Tickets will be $5 at the door. See you there!
Hey Warriors, can you juggle, dance, or sing? If you answered
yes, then stop by the main office and sign up for the fall talent show tryouts
as soon as possible. They will be held on Tuesday, August 28th from 5:00
to 7:30 or on Wednesday, August 29th from 2:25 to 3:00. See you there.
Welcome Back Warriors! It is time to get involved in after school
activities! For anyone interested in joining the Drama Club, there will
be two meetings coming up very soon. There will be a meeting for all
Freshman on Tuesday, August 28th at 2:30. The first meeting
for all grades will be on Tuesday, September 4th at 2:30, which is
the day before auditions for this year's fall play, It's A Wonderful Life.
Any freshman student interested in helping with
the freshman class homecoming float, come to Room S9 on Friday, August 24 at
2:30 p.m. If you are planning on running
for freshman class officer, make sure you attend this meeting.
Welcome freshmen Warriors! A great way to
get involved in your new school is Student Council, the student leadership
organization that runs school events like Homecoming, Warrior Week and Prom.
Interested in finding out more? Attend our general council meetings
Tuesday mornings in the forum at 6:45 a.m. where all students are welcome and
come to one of our intent-to-run meetings this Thursday at 6:45 a.m. and 2:30
p.m. in the forum.
Starting Monday August 27th the weight room
will be open after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30 - 4:00
If
you have a permit to park in the school lot, ensure that your parking permit is
displayed correctly. Campus Security will begin checking parking permits
Thursday, August 23rd. Please see Rod, Christina, or Mrs. DeBow with any
questions.
Students
please review the school dress code on pages 33 and 34 of the Student
Planner. Spaghetti and thin strapped tops are not appropriate for
the school day at Arapahoe. Thank you for your assistance.
