General Announcements

Warriors, this is a reminder that our first PLC is tomorrow! Please remember that classes will begin at 9:21 a.m.

Hey Warriors, do you have a special skill or talent. If so, we would love to see it at the fall talent show tryouts. Tryouts are today from 5:00-7:30 p.m. and tomorrow, August 29 from 2:25-3:00 p.m. We hope to see your talent so head to the main office and sign up at the front desk.

Welcome Back Warriors!  It is time to get involved in after school activities!  For anyone interested in joining the Drama Club, there will be two meetings coming up very soon.  There will be a meeting for all Freshman today, August 28th at 2:30.  The first meeting for all grades will be on Tuesday, September 4th at 2:30, which is the day before auditions for this year's fall play, It's A Wonderful Life.

How do you define Muse?
A.   A Greek goddess of inspiration?
B.   To think, ponder, or wonder?
C.   Arapahoe High School’s magazine of creative arts?
D.  All of the above??  YES!!
The MUSE is Arapahoe’s only magazine dedicated entirely to the creative arts, created entirely by students.  If you are interested in being part of an amazing team who will build this year’s MUSE magazine from scratch, mark your calendar for this Wednesday after school, in Room E-11 (in the Art area), for our first meeting.  This meeting is especially important, as we’ll be talking about leadership positions.  Don’t miss your opportunity to join our creative work.   Don’t wait; do something cool this year & help us create our very own magazine, tomorrow at 2:30 in E-11.  Come check it out!

Art Club will be meeting on Thursday's this year in room E11. It will run weekly from 2:30 -3:30pm. All skill levels and abilities are welcome to join. Please visit the Art Department if you have any questions. Hope you see you there.

FRESHMEN GET INVOLVED. Come to a class meeting this Thursday, August 30th at 6:45am. We will meet in Room S-9 to discuss the homecoming float. If you intend to run for office, please make sure you come. If you are not able, please let Mrs. Lhotta and Ms. Buchwald know.

Seniors! The yearbook deadline for your senior photo and bio is Friday, Sept. 7. We will not use the student ID photo you took at schedule pickup, so be sure to make arrangements to take a formal portrait. We will have a professional photographer on campus this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. She will take your yearbook portrait for only $20. See Mr. Anderson in the journalism Room E-8 for details.

Students interested in purchasing a class ring: Order packets are available at the Front desk and in Mrs. DeBow's office in the Guidance Center. Representatives from Herff Jones will be in the Cafeteria during lunch times tomorrow and Thursday, Aug. 29th and 30th to take your order - they will be asking for an $80 deposit at that time.

Freshman … a great way to get involved in your new school is Student Council, the student leadership organization that runs school events like Homecoming, Warrior Week and Prom.  Interested in finding out more?  Attend our general council meetings Tuesday mornings in the forum at 6:45 a.m. where all students are welcome.
