November 10, 2014

General Announcements

(First, a word from Mrs. Pramenko . . . Good morning, Warriors!  This is Mrs. Pramenko.  May I please have your attention for a very important announcement?  As you know, we are approaching the one-year anniversary of the terrible events of December 13, 2013.  In collaboration with students, faculty/staff and parents, we have determined that Arapahoe will move towards and through this sensitive time in a very special way.

Through the combined efforts of our students, staff and community members we will be kicking off the “Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness” campaign.  In the spirit of Warriors taking care of one another, beginning today, November 10th through winter break (and hopefully beyond), there will be a variety of opportunities for all Warriors to participate in kind acts and various pay-it-forward activities.

In addition to the kindness opportunities, we will host special events such as a school-wide Warrior Movie Night this Friday!  We will also kick off our annual Toys for Tots for Eagleton Elementary School in Denver!

All members of the Warriors and LPS community are encouraged to wear Black and Old Gold in support of Arapahoe on Friday, December 12, 2014.

Please keep an eye on the Arapahoe website, the digital displays and listen to the daily announcements for details and further information.

I hope you will all get involved in the Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness campaign and come up with your own special way to show kindness to someone else.  As always, Warriors, take care of one another!)
