General Announcements

(The following announcement will be sung to the tune of “Let it snow”)
When the weather outside is frightful
The Code of Conduct is so insightful
Even though it’s cold – pajama pants
Are a NO – Are a NO – Are a NO

Please remember pajama pants are NOT allowed during the school day.  No matter the weather, and yes, this includes exam week.

While it is tempting during the winter season, please remember NOT to open doors that are locked for ANYONE.  All visitors must check in at the East entrance and students are allowed to enter through the East and Forum entrances ONLY.

YOU BETTER WATCH OUT, YOU BETTER NOT CRY, YOU BETTER NOT POUT, I’M TELLING YOU WHY…SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN.  Yes…Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and girl at Eagleton Elementary and the Denver Indian Health and Family Services Center.   Join us by bringing a NEW toy to the Attendance Office.  Our goal is 1,000 toys. Consider shopping after Thanksgiving - the best sales are then.  We know Arapahoe can make it happen!  Let’s make this a special holiday for the kids.

Part of our 'Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness' campaign involves acknowledging our gratitude towards others.  Have you thanked a teacher or staff member today?!?  Please grab a post card from any teacher's classroom, the Guidance office, the Library or at the Attendance window and take a moment to express your sincere gratitude for a teacher or staff member.  Once you've filled out your card, just drop it by the Guidance office or the Library and we will take care of the delivery for you!

If you did picture retakes, your pictures are available in the Attendance Office.  Please pick them up today.

The student media staffs (yearbook, newspaper, website) need your help and ideas. Tell us your stories. Tell us your important moments and memories, Tell us about other interesting students who we should profile. Check your LPS email account for a link to a questionnaire.

To juniors and seniors who applied this fall for membership in National Honor Society... letters indicating whether or not you were accepted for membership were mailed to home addresses last week.  These letters also include information on a quick online form that new members should complete immediately, to RSVP for our induction ceremony.  If you applied and have not received a letter, or if you have any questions about NHS, please contact Mr. Smith or Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in language arts.

Artists and writers of Arapahoe-- Thank you for submitting your fine work to the Muse before our first submission deadline.  Please be aware, that you can still submit your creative work to the Muse! Our Fall deadline is December 15th.  Keep it coming!
