General Announcements

Attention all Arapahoe Artists. The Art Department needs to you pick up your Art Attack art work by Friday.  The art department will not store art work from year to year, so please take some time this week to come collect your pieces. Thank you for your help. 

Attention Seniors … Please visit the East Entrance Security Kiosk to pick up your Senior collages by tomorrow.

Do you like to perform?  How about dance?  Do you want to try something new?  The Arapahoe Color Guard is having tryout clinics and tryouts this week!  Please come today from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and get your spin on!  If you have no dance or spinning experience, that's okay because we will teach you!  Clinics run today and tomorrow from 3:00-5:30 p.m. and tryouts are Saturday at 10:00 a.m.!  See you there Warriors!  Ask Mr. Funk or Coach Bailey for more info.

Tomorrow night is the Theatre Topics Improv Show and the Company Showcase. Come see this night filled with comedy and drama as theatre students perform for their final grade. The show starts at 7:00 and admission is free. We hope to see you there.

YEARBOOKS will be distributed on Monday, May 11 from 2:20 to 3:30 p.m.  You must show your photo ID or an Infinite Campus printout with your photo to pick up your yearbook.  To check whether you ordered a yearbook, check your Infinite Campus account or the Bookkeeper’s Corner on the AHS website for a list.  There will be a limited number of yearbooks for sale on May 11 on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $80, cash or check payable to AHS.

Attention students and parents . . . the school year is ending soon.  Do you have enough money in your lunch account to last until the end of the year?  Do you have a negative balance that needs to be paid?  Now is the time to watch lunch account balances and pay off any past due amounts.  As of May 4, students will not be permitted to charge.  Unsure of your balance?  Ask one of the kitchen staff or check your account at MySchoolBucks.com. 

Hey Senior Boys! Did you know it is required that you register with Selective Service within 30 days of your 18th birthday? Once you register, you will be eligible for programs and benefits connected to registration, such as college loans and grants, government jobs, and job training. For more information, and to register, go to www.sss.gov.

Lost and Found:  Please check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office for smaller items.   After Friday, May 15, all items will be donated.​

Athletics

The boys swim and dive team will compete in the A League swim meet starting tomorrow.  The meet is at Cherry Creek High School and will start at 4:30 pm tomorrow.  Come cheer them on to better times, outstanding dives and state qualifying times!!


BIG WIN for the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team who beat #6 ranked Chatfield last night out in Lakewood.   Shout-out to a solid team effort... everyone playing with heart!  Charlie Leonard tore it up in the middle of the field, Dylan Calkins with 9 saves in goal, and Brian Wilson and Tanner Sparks who each had hat tricks with 3 goals each.    

Hey Warriors!  Our lacrosse teams are deep in playoffs this week.  The girls will host ThunderRidge on Friday, May 8th at LPSS in the second round of play - game time is 6:00 p.m.  The boys will travel to Legacy Stadium on Saturday, May 9th for a 1:00 p.m. quarterfinal game against Mountain Vista.  Good luck to our teams as they continue down the road to the state championship.  Go Warriors!
