General Announcements

Lost and found items that are currently in the cafeteria must be claimed by Wednesday September the 28th.  If you have lost anything, now is the time to check.  All items that are not picked up will be removed by the end of the day Wednesday the 28th.

STUDENT PHOTO PICKUP:  IF you ordered student photos, and have not yet picked them up, members of the AHS Journalism Dept. will be at a table during both lunches today and Friday.  Students are only able to pick up their own photos.  

Academic Letter Night recipients, if you were unable the ceremony, please come see Mrs. Clark in the main office to pick up your certificate and academic letter. 

Guest forms for the Homecoming Dance are now available in the Activities/Attendance Office.  These forms are only available to students in Grades 10-12. The forms MUST be fully completed, approved and returned to Mrs. Railey. in the Activities office by 3 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 27.  

The Homecoming Talent Show is coming up!  Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria today.  The show is on Monday night the 26th at 7pm ,you can buy tickets at the door.    Homecoming royalty will be presented and a bake sale will take place outside of the theater. 

Are you interested in a career in the medical field? , be sure to attend a presentation in the forum next Tuesday during 4th and 5th periods in order to learn all about how you can be part of this exciting industry.  For more information, please see Mr. Sawyer in the Business Department.

 The TSA Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month through February.  
"Imagine an project so captivating that you want to spend hours working on it to get it just right.  That’s what happens when TSA members compete at the State Competition  .Students work individually or as a team in many areas, including, Website design  and bio tech:  agriculture, biotechnology, website and dragster design, flight challenge, film technology, CAD and  3D modeling, desktop publishing, structural engineering, and many more .To find out more about this exciting opportunity,  Please come to the 1st  TSA Informational meeting Next Tuesday, September 27th @ 2:25- 3:00 in Room E1287.  Hope to see you there!"

Attention parents and students! This Saturday, your AHS Key Club is sponsoring a College Planning 101 course that is open to any and all students and parents who are interested in learning more about how to prepare for college. This is a free course, and more information can be found on the gold flyers posted around the school. A link to the flyer can be found HERE. College Planning 101 will take place this Saturday morning from 10am-11:30am in the AHS cafeteria.  We hope to see you there!

Attention Warriors! Next week is the start of homecoming week!  Show your school spirit and dress up as your favorite Stars Wars or StarTrek characters this coming Monday the 26th. Remember, no masks or weapons.

*    Yesterday, the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team was victorious over Mullen High School 3-1. Chris Grauberger, Evan Bunch, and Cameron Gail scored for Arapahoe. The Junior Varsity beat Mullen by a score of 10-0. Great job Warriors!

The boys tennis team defeated Mullen last night with a score of 6-1.  Come out and support the team next week as they take on Denver East on Minday and Cherry Creek on Tuesday at home
