General Announcements
* Leadership! ...Arapahoe! ....Your School! ...Your Community,.... Opportunities! .......Student Council represents all of this and we would love to have your involvement. All students are invited to attend STUCO meetings on Tuesday at 7:15 AM in the Forum. Anyone interested in applying to become a Student Council Ambassador must complete an application by Aug. 30th. Applications can be found in the activities office or on the Student Council website.
*Attention Chromebook Users! If you would like to check out a yearly Chromebook to take home this year, or retrieve the Chromebook you had checked out last year, you must do so by the end of the school day on Friday, August 30. If you failed to turn in your Chromebook last year and it is now 'locked' please stop by the Library and we will get the device unlocked. If you have a damaged yearly Chromebook, please bring it to Ms. Pohl in the Library for repair.
*If you are interested in getting involved in our after school theatre program please come to the Theatre classroom - E1358, Thursday, August 22nd, right after school for an informational meeting. We will discuss performance and production opportunities, audition dates, and field trips the Thespians will go on this year. See you after school on Thursday!
*Welcome back Artist and Art Enthusiasts, there will be a brief art club meeting after school on Thursday in room 1283. Hope to see you there!
*Parking reminder: On campus student parking is for juniors and seniors only. You must have a parking permit displayed on your windshield and your vehicle must be properly parked in a designated space. Campus supervisors will begin issuing citations for cars without permits or parked illegally.
Athletics
*Softball plays today at home against Horizon. Game time is 4:30 PM so come out and watch these amazing ladies in action.
*Tonight our Warrior Field Hockey Varsity and JV teams have their first game of the season against Smoky Hill on our new AHS home turf field! Varsity is at 6:30 PM and JV at 7:45 PM. Come out to the first AHS game on the new turf and cheer on the teams to victory!
*Come out this Friday, on your new turf field for the first ever Warrior Football Jamboree. Three teams will join your Warrior team in an evening of football, music, food, games and more. Festivities begin at 5:00 PM with the Freshman and Varsity/JV will play at 6:30 PM. All students and families are welcome, admittance is free. Join us for this first-ever Friday Night Lights event on the AHS Campus.
