General Announcements

*The latest edition of The Herald magazine comes out today. Get your copy during your 6th period or look for copies in the cafeteria news-stands and in the library.

 

*Seniors! Do you have a November 15th college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due TODAY, October 29th by 3:45 pm for all schools with a November 15th application deadline.  See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.

 

*Warrior Halloween is spooky! We love all the costumes. Looking forward to the costume contest at both lunches today! 

 

*And the winners of the Candy Jar Count are: Black Jar -Maggie Glazier, Orange Jar -Danny Roth, Consolation prize -Liam Roby, Staff Jar -Mr. Riordan. Please go to the Library to collect your prize!

*Unified informational meeting will be held next week Wednesday, November 3 at 3:30 p.m. in room E1275.  This is for anyone interested in participating with Unified Cheer or Basketball. We hope to see you there!

 

*For all students interested in joining FBLA, the application deadline is next Thursday, November 4th.  Be sure to stop by the Business Department if you are interested!

 

*Are you looking for something fun to do this winter/spring season? Come join the AHS Winter Guard! Participants learn the art of throwing and catching flags, rifles, and sabers, and put on an EPIC choreographed show. You will also meet people from Littleton and Heritage too! Come to our info meeting with a parent on November 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the band room.

 

Athletics

 

*AHS Girls Swim & Dive Kick-off meeting is Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Forum from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Meet the coaches, learn more about the season, find out how to register and try on this season’s swim gear! The meeting is strongly recommended for all interested parents and athletes. 

 

*Attention to all girls interested in joining the dive team and to all current dive team members: There will be a Try The Boards Session this Saturday, October 30th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with Coach Morgan. Meet in the AHS pool. Bring your suit and get ready to spring into action.

 

*All Girls planning to play basketball this coming season should plan to attend Day 2 of our Preseason camp which is today 3:45-5:45 in the main gym.Camp will continue Monday thru Friday next week 6:00-8:00 p.m. in either the Main or Aux Gyms… Come and Hoop with the most successful Basketball Program in the city!

*The AHS College Fair 2021 for Juniors and Seniors is tonight, October 28, from 6:00-7:00 p.m! Visit in-person with over 50 Colleges!

 

*Seniors! Do you have a November 15th college application deadline? *Halloween is tomorrow, Warriors. We encourage you to dress up! Remember that full face coverings are not allowed. Please also do not bring fake weapons or wear items that suggest violence. Remember that the school dress code still applies. See you at the costume contest at both lunches! 

 

*Today is the last day to submit your guess for the haunted Halloween Candy Jar Count! You could be the winner of a bucket of candy and a 3-D printed slinky! Winners will be announced tomorrow! Submit your guess in the Library today!

*Our Varsity Boys Soccer Warriors were victorious in their first round playoff game against Chaparral last night by a score of 7-0. They advance to the Sweet 16 round next Tuesday at LPS stadium against Rampart HS. Way to go Warriors!

 

*Our Field Hockey Warriors battle Regis in the state semi-finals tonight, October 28 at 5:30 p.m. at All-City Stadium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Let’s pack the stands and cheer on our Warriors to victory! 

 

*Our Volleyball Teams are back in action at Mullen today at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

 

*Football faces Grandview at Legacy Stadium at 7:00 pm tonight. Go Warriors!

*All NHS members! We have our next meeting today, October 27 at 3:45 p.m. in the forum after school! It will last 15 to 20 minutes. We look forward to seeing you all! See one of the officers or sponsors if you have to miss.

*Huge Shout Out to Our Field Hockey Warriors as they beat Palmer Ridge last night 2-1 in the pouring rain in double overtime for the state quarterfinals! They play Regis in the semi-finals this Thursday, October 28 at 5:30 p.m. at All-City Stadium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students for the state playoff game. Come out and cheer on our Warriors to victory! 

 

*Our Boys Varsity Soccer Team advances into the playoffs with a game tonight against Chaparral at LPS Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Let’s pack the stands tonight!  Please remember no passes will be accepted for admission to this game. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth starting at 6:20 p.m. by cash or check only.

 

*All girls wanting to play basketball this coming season plan to attend our Pre-Season Camp which begins today, 10/27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Gym and Friday at 3:45 p.m. Come and join the most successful Girls Basketball program in Littleton!!!
