*It’s time for the haunted Halloween Candy Jar Count! Do you want to win a 3D-printed slinky and a bucket of candy? Please stop by the Library for your chance to win one of two Halloween candy buckets. Each bucket contains a 3D-printed slinky! The staff haunted candy jar is in the main office. Winners will be announced October 29.
*Join us in the AHS Theatre tonight at 6:30 p.m. for Financial Aid Night! The AHS counseling team will briefly discuss our approach and help for students seeking options to pay for college. Our Keynote Presenter(s) from a local university will discuss the Financial Aid process from the university perspective.
*Juniors & Seniors... there's still time to sign up for the CSU visit today at 1:00 p.m. in the forum! You can also check out Texas A&M, Drake, Loyola Marymount, and Virginia Tech today, or Westminster and Arizona State tomorrow. Register in Naviance.
*Special Sergeant Gann will be in the cafeteria today for any students who are interested in discussing post-secondary plans involving the Marines.
*If you are taking the PSAT on Wednesday, room assignments have been posted in the cafeteria and library. Please check in advance for your room.
*Seniors, have you submitted your height for your graduation gown? If you haven't or you don't know, stop by and see Mrs. Witt in Student Services to confirm by October 22nd.
*Boo! Warrior Media is hosting a Scary Story contest for the Halloween season! Write a short scary story with the theme of "Black Magic." Enter by October 23rd for the chance to win a prize and maybe even get published! Join the Scary Story Google Classroom with code "uuetflz" for more details! Look for posters around school and/or email us at ahsjournalism@lpsk12.org with any questions.
*The Swim Waiver Test will be held on November 10th. All current students who are interested in trying to test out of the required swim class have an opportunity to take the swim waiver test. You can find the swim waiver sign up on the AHS Website. You can also ask Mrs. Bradley or Mrs. Abner to help get you signed up.
*If you are interested in taking a concurrent enrollment course at ACC, drop by the counseling office this week. The deadline for applying is coming soon! This is only for courses that are offered at Arapahoe Community College not those offered here Arapahoe High School.
*Calling all puppy lovers!! Come join the puppy raising club run by Freedom Service Dogs Association; our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 13 from 4:00-4:30 p.m. in the forum. Through this club, you will be able to raise and train a puppy to become a service dog. Parents are encouraged to attend if you are planning to adopt a puppy. Even if you cannot adopt a puppy, come to the meeting for more information to see how you can get involved, or look on the club website for more information.
*Let's Go Warriors! Register to participate in this year’s STRIDE RUN/WALK or SLEEP event on Sunday, October 24, 2021. So far we have the most registrants for all three high schools. Let’s keep it that way! If we get the most for our level we WIN and therefore KIDS WIN! Challenge your friends, teams, families and neighbors to register! *Seniors! Do you have a November 1st college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due on Tuesday, October 12th by 3:45 p.m. for all schools with a November 1st application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.

*The AHS College Fair 2021 for Juniors and Seniors is fast approaching! Come visit in-person with over 50 Colleges on Thursday, October 28 from 6:00-7:00 p.m!
*Did you know you can earn high school graduation credit by taking driver education? Go to https://littletonpublicschools.net/driversed. We have Saturday classes, after school classes, and online only classes this Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Need a license test before, during, or after school onsite at LHS in LPS Driver Ed cars, call 303-347-4380.
*Free in-person Alive@25 class is Monday, October 25 at 3:45 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.alive@25.us. The registration code is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Our Varsity Boys Soccer Team travels this evening to play a 6:00 p.m. match against Eaglecrest High School at Legacy Stadium, located at Cherokee Trail High School. Go Warriors!
*Our Field Hockey Teams play away today against St. Mary’s Academy. Varsity at 4:30 p.m. and JV at 5:45 p.m.
*Warriors stop by Jets Pizza at the Broadway or Holly locations on October 19th to grab a slice of pizza to help support your Arapahoe High School Cheerleaders!
*If you are interested in joining the girls or boys Arapahoe swim and dive teams there will be an information meeting on Tuesday, October 12, in the library forum from 3:40 - 4:15. Coach Mike Richmond and the captains for both the girls and boys teams will be there to provide information and to answer any questions about the upcoming seasons. We hope to see you there!
