 General Announcements

*Attention all certified Lifeguards! The AHS swim classes need lifeguards 1st and 2nd quarters. You can earn PE credit by lifeguarding one of these classes. We need lifeguards for blocks 2, 5, and 8.  Please reach out to Mrs. Abner if you are interested.

*Calling all Warriors! We are looking for students interested in helping coach and play Unified Kickball this fall. Games will be on Sept. 6, 14 and 27th. Please see Mrs. Abner or Ms. Rooney for more info.  Unify with Unified Warriors. Everyone wins and we need your help.

*Are you interested in having more art and creativity in your life? If so, the Art Club is for you! We will be having a brief informational meeting this Thursday, Sept. 1,  right after school in room E1277. Hope to see you there!

Athletics

*Wish your ABK JV and Varsity soccer players good luck in their Away game against Legacy tonight!  Come out on Thursday to cheer on their home games against Mountain Vista.  Varsity plays at 8:00 pm at LPS Stadium. Fresh/Soph and JV play at 4:30 here at Arapahoe.

*The football program is looking for students interested in being student managers for the team.  If this is something you might be interested in please stop by and speak with Katie Wallace, the Arapahoe Athletic Trainer in the Trainer's Office after 2:30 p.m.  for more specific information. 

*Our Field Hockey Warriors showed their talents last night with well-played wins over Smoky Hill -Varsity 6-1 and JV 2-0.

*Tickets for the Arapahoe vs Heritage football game Friday night will be available for purchase both Thursday and Friday during lunch  from 12:15 pm- 2:15 pm both days. We will set up a table in the cafeteria for the students and one in the East Main Entrance bubble area for parents to stop by during this time frame.  Cash or check will be the method of payment accepted.  

The Warriors are the away team this year which means ALL Arapahoe fans must purchase a ticket to attend the game.  Tickets WILL NOT be available for purchase online so get your ticket Thursday or Friday during lunch.  No Arapahoe Athletic Passes will be accepted at this game and Freshman football players will have to purchase a ticket too.  Game time is at 7:00 p.m. Friday night at LPS Stadium.

*Students!  If you need your student ID reprinted with an Athletic Pass, please see Mrs. Arnold in the main office.  

*Attention Warriors who drive to school: only Juniors and Seniors are allowed to park in the designated student parking spaces in the east and west parking lots. All vehicles in the parking lot must have a properly displayed AHS 22-23 parking pass. Starting TODAY, August 29th, cars without parking permits will be ticketed. Passes may be purchased by completing the online parking form on the AHS website and paying via your infinite campus account or with cash or check to the bookkeeper.

*The Varsity Boys Tennis Warriors had a great victory over the Rock Canyon Jaguars on Friday, they went 6 matches to 1!   

• The Boys JV Gold Tennis Warriors destroyed the competition at the Thunder Ridge Invitational on Saturday!  They were undefeated, taking all 24 matches and a first place win!

• The Boys JV Black had a strong finish against Ralston Valley, winning 10 -2.

*Are you searching for that perfect part-time job that won't conflict with your school work or activities?  Check out the AHS Student Job Board, just outside the business office in the South hallway.  We've recently posted many new opportunities and the board is updated often.

*Your Warrior Softball teams have played four games so far. Varsity went 2-2, picking up wins against Highlands Ranch and ThunderRidge. While the JV team went 2-2 with wins over Highlands Ranch and Heritage.

This weekend, the Varsity team will play four games in the Female Athlete Network tournament in Fort Collins while the JV will host Grandview this Saturday.  Come on out and cheer them on!

*Calling all students interested in theatre! The Arapahoe High School Thespians are putting on a production of ‘The Laramie Project’. Tech interviews and Acting auditions start Monday, August 22nd after school in the theatre. More information and sign-up forms are on the AHS Theatre website.  See you there!"

*Hey Warriors! There is no better way to kick off the school year than attending the Back to School Dance - THIS FRIDAY, August 19th from 8 pm - 10 pm in the west lot. Admission is $5 but Kona Ice will also be there so bring some extra money if you want a fun treat!

If you park in the West parking lot between the forum doors and the track, please make sure that you move your car by 4 pm on Friday so that we are able to set up for the dance.  We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday for a fun kick off to the 2022-2023 school year!

General Announcements

*Your ABK Boys Soccer teams have their first games of the season TODAY against Rock Canyon at home. The Fresh/Soph and JV play at 4:30 at the JV and Varsity fields here at AHS.  Varsity plays at 6 pm at LPS Stadium.  Come out and support your ABK Boys Soccer teams and help us kick off the season with a win!
