General Announcements
*Calling all Warriors! We are looking for students interested in helping coach and play Unified Kickball this fall. Games will be on Sept. 6, 14 and 27th. Please see Mrs. Abner or Ms. Rooney for more info. Unify with Unified Warriors. Everyone wins and we need your help.
*Are you searching for that perfect part-time job that won't conflict with your school work or activities? Check out the AHS Student Job Board, just outside the business office in the South hallway. We've recently posted many new opportunities and the board is updated often.
*Powder puff football is back! Get a group of 10 girls from any grade together and start practicing for the games, which will be September 17th and September 21st during Homecoming week. Please have 1 representative from each team stop by the Activities office to pick up a packet. Only the first 12 teams registered along with the $100 fee can play, so get the registration turned in early.
Athletics
*Your Warrior Softball teams have played four games so far. Varsity went 2-2, picking up wins against Highlands Ranch and ThunderRidge. While the JV team went 2-2 with wins over Highlands Ranch and Heritage.
This weekend, the Varsity team will play four games in the Female Athlete Network tournament in Fort Collins while the JV will host Grandview this Saturday. Come on out and cheer them on!
*Students interested in playing Girls Lacrosse this fall can register through South Suburban by Friday, August 26th. The season will consist of Saturday only games starting September 10th. Make sure to list Coach Olivia Oppenheim as your coach when registering.
*Our Field Hockey Warriors battle East HS on their turf tonight. Varsity at 4:30, JV at 5:45 and C Team at 7:15. Come cheer on our Warriors!
