General Announcements
*Attention all Art Club members, there will be no art club this Thursday, November 3rd. We will resume on November 10th, see you then!
*Seniors! Do you have a November 15th college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due TODAY by 3:45pm for all schools with a November 15th application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.
*Juniors & Seniors... it's not too late to sign up to visit with a rep from the University of Oregon today in the postsecondary center! See Naviance for times and stop by room S1401 to get a pass. Don't miss the LPS College Fair tonight from 6-7pm at Littleton High School. Meet reps from almost 50 colleges from around the country without having to travel far!
*Warriors, would you like to get an Arapahoe Library District library card? ALD has 8 libraries - from Southglenn Library all the way east to Kelver as well as the Castlewood Makerspace at the Castlewood Library. Come by the AHS library today from noon - 2 pm to sign up.
*Warriors - we are in the final week of our Annual Food Drive for East Elementary. On Thursday, November 3rd in TRIBE, we will conduct a money collection to donate to the food pantry. On Friday, November 4th will have our last push for non-perishables items. The TRIBE classes that bring in the most food or cash donations by Friday will receive donuts on the December 1st community TRIBE. On November 5th, anyone can drop off donations in the south circle drive from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
*Attention Warriors - the EPIC Campus is holding a Health Sciences Pathway-Specific Information Night on Monday, November 7th at Heritage High School Cafeteria from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Are you interested in health sciences? Could you see yourself working in a hospital or medical setting? Are you interested in medicine? Have you ever thought about a career in mental health or sports medicine? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, join us at the Health Sciences Information meeting and learn more about this exciting pathway which will be available to students at the EPIC Campus. *Calling all lovers of Poetry & Performance! The annual LPS Poetry Slam takes place on Tuesday, November 8th. Sign-up to read or come and support the great and brave works of high school students from across LPS. See your English teacher or Mr. Kuhlmann for more details. Hope to see you there. Athletics
*Congratulations to your Varsity Toms on getting 2nd place at League and your JV Toms for getting 3rd place last night. Both teams head to Legacy High School this Saturday for their first regional competition.
*Our Field Hockey Warriors played a tremendous game last night in the state semifinals against Colorado Academy. They lost in OT 3-2, but we wanted to give a huge shout out to all the Warrior fans who came and strongly supported our team!
*Attention all Girls planning to play Basketball for AHS this winter - please plan to attend our pre-season Camp this week - tomorrow and Friday after school, as well as the following week November 7th - 12th. All workouts will be at AHS.
*The Arapahoe Boys Basketball program will be conducting a pre-season camp next week Monday thru Friday, November 7th - 11th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the AHS Gym. Tryouts will be on Monday, November 14th and Tuesday, November 15th. If you plan to tryout, we encourage you to attend the pre-season camp. Please direct questions to arapbball@gmail.com.
