General Announcements
*Come cheer on your Unified Basketball team TONIGHT at Smoky Hill and Friday at home vs. Cherokee Trail! Both games start at 4:15.
*Hey Warriors, are you a Junior or Senior that has completed or in the process of completing 3 business classes? If you have a 3.5 GPA in those 3 business classes and 3.0 GPA overall, you can apply to be a member of the National Business Honor Society. A QR Code for the application can be found in the Business Office. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 10th. See Mrs. Maney if you have any questions.
*Seniors: are you planning to major in a STEM field this fall? Check out University Hills Rotary Scholarships worth up to $6000 toward your education! Must have a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need. Stop by the postsecondary center for more information.
*It’s never too early to think about Warrior Week and our Make a Wish fundraiser. Dutch Bros. Coffee at 7960 S Broadway, just down the street from Wendy’s is donating $1 from each drink sold Friday, January 27th to Make a Wish. AHS will add that money to our Warrior Week total in April so enjoy a beverage and support a great cause.
*Hearing and Vision screening will continue TODAY through Friday, January 27th. Freshmen will be pulled from English 9 and all NEW 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will receive a pass with their scheduled time. The screening bus will be located on the east side of the building. Please use the east doors in the Art Department hallway to exit the building and return through the Bubble. Remember to bring your glasses or wear your contacts for your screening! Athletics
*All Boys Basketball teams will be competing TONIGHT against Smoky Hill at Smoky Hill High School! Varsity plays at 7pm, JV & Freshman at 5:30pm and Sophomore at 4:00pm. Let’s GO Warriors!
*Are you interested in playing Boys Lacrosse this spring? Players and parents, please attend the MANDATORY Preseason meeting on TONIGHT at 7:00pm in the AHS Forum.
*Hey Warriors - are you interested in being a part of the Boys Swim & Dive team? Join us for our Kick-off meeting Thursday, January 26th at 5:30pm in the Forum for information regarding the season.
*Come support the AHS Girls Swim and Dive team - TONIGHT for Shawarma Dine Out Night from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Come pick up a Shawarma dinner at 7527 S University Blvd across from AHS. No flier needed, just tell them at checkout you’re supporting AHS Girls Swim & Dive. 20% of all proceeds go back to our team.
*Come support the Gymnastics team - Tuesday, January 31st at Yogurtland from noon-8:00 p.m. Come pick up a tasty snack at 7535 S University Blvd across from AHS. No flier needed. Then, enjoy a delicious dinner on Wednesday, February 1st at Modern Market Eatery in the streets of Southglenn from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Just tell them at checkout you’re supporting HHS Gymnastics.
