 General Announcements

*Warriors, have you been extra thirsty lately? If so, we might have your water bottle or Nalgene at our Lost and Found table in the cafeteria.  We also have coats and bags, so come see if we have any of your items.

*Hey Warriors! Did you check out a daily Chromebook or Charger recently? If so, please be sure to return it to the library before you leave for spring break. 

*The Warrior Week Carnival is back and we are looking for clubs, teams, and organizations to host a booth at the Carnival on Friday, April 21st from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.  The carnival is one of the ways we fundraise on behalf of our Make-A-Wish kid.  See Ms. Price in room N 1485 or your coach or sponsor to join in the fun!

*ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS!  Art Attack is Back!  The 18th Annual Art Attack is underway and the Art department is now collecting pieces for the show.  If you are interested in entering please swing by the art rooms to complete your entry form.  We will be collecting art work until the end of TODAY!  For more information or answers to any questions please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Ms. Davidson, or Ms. King.

*Are you interested in the airline industry? Careers range from pilot, aircraft mechanic, baggage handler, to customer service rep.  If this interests you, please consider attending the EPIC Campus "Airline Symposium" at Wings Over the Rockies on April 30th and May 1st, 2023.  Go to ourshadesofblue.org for more information. 

*Arapahoe Band Boosters is sponsoring our 5th Annual “Egg My Yard” fundraiser.  How would you like to wake up to a yard filled with candy stuffed eggs?  On the evening of April 8th, our band bunnies will stop by to hide treat filled eggs in your front yard, and leave a note on your door telling your kiddos how many eggs to look for.  For details, go to arapahoebandboosters.com/fundraisers.  The deadline for signing up is April 2.

Athletics

*Are you interested in trying out for cheerleading at Arapahoe? Tryouts for the 2023-2024 season will be April 10-14! Visit the cheerleading website and follow our instagram page (@arapahoe_cheerleading) for more details! Make sure to fill out the interest form to be placed on our mailing list.

*Come out and cheer on your AHS Varsity Baseball team at home TODAY at 4:15pm against Rock Canyon.

*The LPS Boys Volleyball teams will be playing tonight.  Varsity will play at 6:30pm and JV will be at 5:30pm.  Both games are at Littleton High School against Mullen.

*Come out and cheer on your AHS Varsity Baseball team at home at 4:15pm against Fossil Ridge and again TOMORROW against Rock Canyon at home.

*Your Girls Lacrosse teams will be playing tonight against Heritage.  Varsity will play at 7:30pm and JV will play 6:00pm.  Both games are at Heritage HS turf field.

*Current Sophomores & Juniors: if you are eligible based on GPA, you will have received an email about joining National Honor Society. Please check your email for further information. There will be two short informational meetings this week in the Forum, TODAY – 3:40pm and  Thursday, March 23 – 8:00 - 8:20am.  You need to come to one of the meetings to get the links for the application and references. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bownds or Sra Gurierrez before the meetings.

*Come support the Arapahoe Band program at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar at Streets of Southglenn on TONIGHT from 5:00pm - 9:00 pm.

*All you ladies out there who are graduating in May and looking for college funds: check out the Minnie L. Harding Scholarship for the opportunity to receive $1000 toward your education! Applications due April 15th. See your counselor or stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for more details.

*Happy Monday, here is your mindful moment for the week: Take a “silence break” and just be quiet for a minute or two. A period of silence can be even more calming than music designed to be relaxing.

*Current Sophomores & Juniors: if you are eligible based on GPA, you will have received an email about joining National Honor Society. Please check your email for further information. There will be two short informational meetings this week in the Forum, Wednesday, March 22 – 3:40pm and  Thursday, March 23 – 8:00am.  You need to come to one of the meetings to get the links for the application and references.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bownds or Mrs. Gurierrez before the meetings.  If you are unable to attend one of these meetings, it is your responsibility to get all instructions and information from an NHS Officer or another student who attends.
