General Announcements
*Warriors, please check out the Lost and Found table in the cafeteria. There are SO MANY coats, bags, water bottles & Nalgenes.
*All you ladies out there who are graduating in May and looking for college funds: check out the Minnie L. Harding Scholarship for the opportunity to receive $1000 toward your education! Applications due April 15th. See your counselor or stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for more details.
*Current Sophomores & Juniors: if you are eligible based on GPA, you will have received an email about joining National Honor Society. Please check your email for further information. There will be two short informational meetings this week in the Forum, Wednesday, March 22 – 3:40pm and Thursday, March 23 – 8:00 - 8:20am. You need to come to one of the meetings to get the links for the application and references. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bownds or Sra Gurierrez before the meetings.
*Come support the Arapahoe Band program at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar at Streets of Southglenn on Wednesday, March 22 from 5:00pm - 9:00 pm. 10% of all food sales will be donated to Arapahoe High School Band! All to-go orders must be ordered online at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.
*The Warrior Week Carnival is back and we are looking for clubs, teams, and organizations to host a booth at the Carnival on Friday, April 21st from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. The carnival is one of the ways we fundraise on behalf of our Make-A-Wish kid. See Ms. Price in room N 1485 or your coach or sponsor to join in the fun!
*Juniors: in case you missed it… College & Career Night will be hosted here at Arapahoe tomorrow night from 6:30-8:30pm. Talk to college admissions reps, meet with gap year planners and military recruiters, learn how to write a winning essay, get tips for saving money on tuition, and much more! Check your email for more details!
*ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS! Art Attack is Back! The 18th Annual Art Attack is underway and the Art department is now collecting pieces for the show. If you are interested in entering please swing by the art rooms to complete your entry form. We will be collecting art work now through Friday, March 24th so don’t wait. For more information or answers to any questions please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Ms. Davidson, or Ms. King.
*Warriors, do you have the old Lenovo N23 or N22, (the one with a circle charger). If so, come by the library to exchange it for a new computer.
*Arapahoe Band Boosters is sponsoring our 5th Annual “Egg My Yard” fundraiser. How would you like to wake up to a yard filled with candy stuffed eggs? On the evening of April 8th, our band bunnies will stop by to hide treat filled eggs in your front yard, and leave a note on your door telling your kiddos how many eggs to look for. For details, go to arapahoebandboosters.com/fundraisers. The deadline for signing up is April 2.
Athletics
*Are you interested in trying out for cheerleading at Arapahoe? Tryouts for the 2023-2024 season will be April 10-14! Visit the cheerleading website and follow our instagram page (@arapahoe_cheerleading) for more details! Make sure to fill out the interest form to be placed on our mailing list.
*Come out and support your ABK Girls soccer teams on Thursday, March 23rd. Varsity plays at 5:00pm and JV plays at 7:00pm. Both games are at Lou Kellogg Stadium against Regis. C-Team plays Regis at Arapahoe at 4:30pm.
