 General Announcements

*We would like to start with a special announcement from Dayanara - Hello, my name is Dayanara Chinchilla.  Today is Autism Awareness Day.  Autism is a type of disability that effects how we communicate and how we do things differently than other kids.  We celebrate by wearing blue.  Support kids with Autism this month by being kind and encouraging to others.  Thank you

*CALLING ALL WARRIORS!!  It’s our final countdown to our Warrior Week Fundraising for Alyson!  Here is what’s happening:

• Warrior Week shirts will be sold during both lunches this week for $7.   Pick yours up and show your support for Alyson by wearing your shirt on Friday at the Warrior Week assembly! 

• TEACHER WARS: Want to see a teacher get pied in the face, drink a disgusting smoothie, or even shave their head? It’s Teacher Wars! Participating teachers and administrators are raising money in hopes not to receive their punishment!  Teachers & Administrators will have donation buckets/baskets in their rooms or offices.  

• Mrs. Pramenko vs Mrs. Kuhlmann- least amount gets pied in the face

• Mrs. Smart vs Mrs. Syers - least amount drinks a disgusting smoothie 

• Mrs. Appleton vs Mrs. Fahlstedt vs Mr. Brooks least amount bites into a mystery filled Twinkie 

• Officer Tipton vs Mr. Dollaghan - least amount shaves their head!  

• You have until the end of the day on Thursday to help raise money! 

• Our Dodgeball Tournament will be Wednesday @ 6:00pm. 

• Our fabulous Warrior Week Assembly will be held on Friday during TRIBE.  Celebrate Alyson with us and see who gets the punishment for the Teacher Wars competition.

*Warriors - we need you for the Senior Class Coat Drive!  Please bring in gently used, clean coats to donate to the Wind River Reservation.  Any and all sizes will be accepted.  Coat bins are in the bubble, cafeteria and forum entrance for you to drop off coats in the next 3 weeks.  

*AHS Sophomores and Juniors - Link Crew wants you to lead through activities, leadership class, and relationships. If you are interested in being a LINK Crew Leader for the 2024-2025 school year, complete an online application through our Google site found under Activities on the Arapahoe web page.  Your completed application is due by Friday, April 19th.  If you have any questions, check with  the Link Crew Sponsors - Mrs. Appleton, Mrs. Bradley, Mr. Brandberg, Mrs. Kitch or Mrs. Moritz.  

*Attention National Honor Society Members: please check Google Classroom for information on service opportunities this week.  There are over 15 available hours of service posted.  

Athletics

*Good luck to our Girls Golf teams at a league meet @ Foothills Golf Course  TODAY.

*Good luck to the Girls Tennis teams as they take on Grandview TODAY.  Varsity plays 3:45pm at Grandview and JV Black plays at HOME @ 3:45pm.  

*Come out and support your ABK Girls Varsity Soccer team TODAY as they take on Cherry Creek @ 8:00pm at the Stutler Bowl.  JV Black plays Bear Creek  @ 4:30pm at our AHS JV soccer field.  JV Gold plays Cherry Creek @ 4:30pm at Village Green Fields.

*Let’s cheer on our Girls Varsity Lacrosse team TODAY as they play Cherokee Trail @ Legacy Stadium at 8:00pm.  JV plays at Cherokee Trail HS @ 4:30pm. 

*Come out and cheer on the LPS Boys Volleyball teams as they play Eaglecrest TODAY @ Eaglecrest.  Varsity plays @ 6:30pm after JV @ 5:30pm after C Level plays @ 4:15pm.

*Warriors - come cheer on your #1 ranked Boys Varsity Lacrosse team TONIGHT against Rock Canyon at Centennial Stadium @ 7:00pm.  JV plays at Powell MS @ 4:30pm.
