General Announcements
*Attention all AHS girls: It is time to put your teams together for the Annual Homecoming Powder Puff Football game. Captains of each team, stop by Mrs. Peterson’s desk in the Activities Office to pick up the rules and waivers for your team. We can only take the first 12 teams that register, so hurry up and get your team of 6-10 players together to compete for the title of Powder Puff Champion.
*Warriors - if you are riding your bike to school, please make sure that you are locking it to the bike rack on the south patio and not to a bench or pole.
*Calling all sports & clubs! Join the 2025 Homecoming Parade on Saturday, September 20th @ 10:00am. Our theme is- Saturday Night Fever! The parade starts at the AHS west parking lot, goes down to the Streets of Southglenn and ends back at the west school lot. Let’s see those floats!. Sign up using the QR code on flyers throughout the school or see Mrs. Romero in the library.
*Warriors - have you always wanted to enjoy fresh delicious Italian Gelato on the streets of Florence or ride a gondola through the canals of Venice? Please join Ms. Wood and other AHS student travelers on our trip to Italy next summer. If you are interested, you must RSVP for our information night for families on Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:30pm in the Forum. Please RSVP even if you can’t come to the meeting! See posters and flyers around the school for the QR code to RSVP and ask Ms. Wood if you have any questions.
Athletics
*Come out and cheer on your Girls Field Hockey teams TONIGHT against Cheyenne Mountain @ HOME at Centennial Stadium. Varsity starts at 6:45pm after JV plays at 5:30pm.
*Are you ready for some football?? Come out and cheer on your Warrior Boys Football teams - all levels TONIGHT as they scrimmage the Ralston Valley Mustangs at Ralston Valley.
*Warriors - the TOMS are holding a final audition to be a part of the 2025-2026 Arapahoe Dance team. Get excited to show off your dance skills TOMORROW at 9:00am in the cardio room. You can sign up today by using a link on the TOMS Instagram page or the TOMS homepage. See you there!
*Come out and cheer on your Girls Varsity Volleyball team at the AHS Varsity Volleyball Tournament TOMORROW in the main & auxiliary gym all day.
*Come watch some AMAZING flag football and cheer on our Girls Varsity team TOMORROW as they take on Heritage @ 9:00am and Littleton @ 1:30pm. All games will be played at Littleton Stadium.
*Good Luck to our Girls Varsity Softball team TOMORROW in Ft. Collins.
*Warrior Baseball Players - we will have our first player meeting on Wednesday, August 27th in the Forum at 3:45pm. All interested baseball players are required to attend. Fall Athletes in Football, Soccer, Tennis, Cross Country and Golf should not attend but should see Coach Dollaghan.
*Attention any and all Freshman and Sophomore girls that played basketball in middle school and are interested in playing for Arapahoe this coming season! The Girls basketball program is beginning its preseason workouts. We would love to have you join our AWESOME program!!! You can find the entire fall schedule on our website - ahsgirlsbb.com.
