This week we are celebrating Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. Students, be sure to thank your teachers for all that they do for you.
Student Council Elections will take place on Monday, May 5th. All Fresh, Soph and Junior students are encouraged to vote for their new class office and executive office positions. Please show your student I.D. Voting will take place all day on Monday, May 5th in the cafeteria. YOUR VOTE COUNTS so PLEASE VOTE on Monday.
Seniors please pick up your Graduation tickets in the cafeteria on Wednesday, May 7, during lunches.
Seniors and Juniors!!! Shall We Dance??? Prom is Saturday, May 10th. Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches starting Thursday, May 1 and continuing through Friday, May 9. Tickets purchased before prom are $38 each, but $45 at the door the night of Prom. So don’t put it off! You MUST have a photo id with you to purchase tickets.
FBLA we are meeting on Monday to wrap up our lettering and taking pictures for our slide show. We will be announcing our new leadership team for next year. We will be meeting in room S1 afterschool.
Attention Key Club: the Mineral Street clean up has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 5/7/08. Come to next Monday’s meeting to help out.
Attention all Warriors and Habitat for Humanity members: If you are interested in building with Habitat for Humanity this summer, please come to a meeting Monday, May 5 after school in room C-18. We are building our own house and welcome all the help we can get! Builders must be at least 16 years old.
Attention Senior Ladies & Wild Warrior Women: this Friday is your chance to dress up and show your spirit! Come to school Friday, May 2, in an out of the ordinary outfit to support Habitat for Humanity’s Wacky Tacky Dance. Make your outfit wacky, but remember to stay within the dress code and save the craziest for the dance. With only 13 days left, let’s see your spirit Seniors!
Fiesta!!! Spanish club will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Monday 5, at 2:30 outside by the forum. Come participate in the festivities including the breaking of the piñata! Ole!
Athletics
Come support your 2008 Continental League Baseball Champions as they start their run at the Colorado State Championship! Tomorrow morning they host the Pine Creek Eagles of Colorado Springs here at 10:00am on the AHS field. The concessions stand will be open and there will be lots of prizes and give-aways of Burrito Bucks and Tokoyo Joe's Gift Certificates! Game Day services start at 9:00am. GO WARRIORS!!!
Come cheer on the Boys Varsity lacrosse team 7:00 p.m. Saturday night at the Stutler Bowl against Cherry Creek.
Hey Warriors, the Varsity Girls Lacrosse playoff schedule has been changed. They will have their first playoff game today at 4:00 at Newton Middle School when they take on St. Mary's Academy. Please come on out to Newton and cheer on the team--they always appreciate lots of fans. Let's go Warriors!!
