General Announcements

Students who desire to opt out of the 3rd hour activity today, or whose parents desire you to opt out, can do so by informing your 3rd hour teacher. You can then report to the cafeteria or the library for the duration of that activity only. Please do not leave the building.

The band program presents its annual Spring Finale Concert tonight at 7pm in the Theater. The Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble will be featured. Small Ensembles will be featured at 6:30pm.

Students, please be sure to clear your negative lunch balances by this Friday, May 7th. Stop by the Café between 7 am and Noon. Thank you for your help.

AHS parents will be creating a slideshow of pictures for display at After Prom. They will be collecting three kinds of pictures: pictures from throughout the school year, pictures of students preparing for Prom, and pictures from Prom and After Prom. If you have digital pictures that you would like to send in, visit the AHS web page for details on how to do that.

Attention all juniors and seniors interested in applying for Advanced Placement Science courses: The online application is available on the Science webpage, or on the individual teacher's webpage. The online application needs to be submitted by this Friday, May 7th.

Have you always wanted to use the school loud speaker? Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day? If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions with Mrs. Ayres in the Attendance Office. Auditions will be held today right after school in room C-20.

SENIORS….The Library has two important dates for you to remember:
Friday, May 7th is the deadline to return all your Library materials!
Tuesday, May 13th is the deadline to pay any fines.
You will not receive your cap and gown if you have any outstanding fines or holds, so check the fines list.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! This year’s prom theme is “Time of Your Life” and it is approaching quickly. Tickets are on sale until Friday, May 7, in the cafeteria during both lunches. The cost of a single ticket is $38, and will cost $45 at the door. Prom is Saturday, May 8, at 8:00 pm at the Denver Center for Performing Arts’ Seawell Ballroom.

HEY WARRIORS!!
The event of the year is upon us! After Prom is a wild and wacky Journey through the Pages. Come be a Wild Thing and roar a terrible roar with Max. Walk the Yellow Brick Road with some crazies in the Land of Oz. See what happened to that poor Augustus Gloop at the Chocolate Factory. We have Great Giveaways at the end of the night. After Prom tickets are on sale in the Café for $12.00 through Friday 2nd lunch, or $15.00 at the door.
