General Announcements

Tonight is the night for cool jazz!! Euclid Middle School is hosting the LPS District Jazz Showcase, featuring all of the jazz bands in our school district. Admission is free, and the performances will run from 5:30pm until 9:00pm. Our Arapahoe Jazz Ensembles will be performing at 6:50pm and 8:10pm. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The Colorado All-State Orchestra Concert is this Saturday at CSU. The concert begins at 4:00pm. Our very own Andrew Ryan and Melissa Merkel are performing with this prestigious ensemble.

“Attention TSA members, your TSA State t-shirts are in. Please stop by TODAY & see Mr. McMullen in room E7 to pick up your shirt to wear tomorrow!”

Hey Junior and Senior guys and gals. We still need models for the 2011 Prom Fashion Show. The application deadline is today. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to strut your stuff on the catwalk. Pick up an application in the Business Office.

Auditions for the spring musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will be held this Wednesday and Thursday after school in the auditorium. The dance auditions will held on Friday in the auditorium. For more information see Mr. Ahern, Ms. Parmenter, or Ms. TenEyck.
Athletics
Come support Boys Basketball tonight (Wednesday) as the JV and Varsity teams play Mullen High School here at Arapahoe. The JV game begins at 5:30 pm, with the Varsity team scheduled to tip off at 7:00. Go Warriors!

Congratulations to the girls' sophomore basketball team. They won their first round game in the Centennial League Tournament against Overland 61 to 27. Their next game will be against Mullen on Thursday at 7 pm.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Girls Basketball team for their 1st round win in the Centennial league “Freshmen” tournament last night over Eaglecrest 51-30. The Freshmen Lady Warriors will face Golden in the Semi-finals on Thursday night at Mullen. Nice job Ladies!

Attention all girls interested in playing softball in the Fall! There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday at 2:30 in room S1. Please plan on attending this short informational meeting. See Coach Krueger if you have any questions or are unable to attend.

Spring Sports Registration will take place next week! Boys and Girls Track on Tuesday, February 15th; Baseball & Boys Swim/Dive on Wednesday, February 16th; Girls Tennis, Soccer & Golf on Thursday, February 17th. All registration will take place in the Cafeteria during lunches. Make sure to stop by the Athletic Office and pick up your registration paperwork this week!
