General Announcements:

Congratulations to our Arapahoe Warrior Cheerleaders. They competed this past weekend at Chaparral High School in the AmeriCheer Regional competition. The JV team took 2nd place and Varsity took 1st place in their divisions. The varsity team also captured high point in the cheer division!! Come cheer on the Cheers at their Centennial League Competition coming up at 4:00 p.m. on November 1st at Eaglecrest High School.

Calling all Sportscasters! Have you ever dreamed about being a sports broadcaster? Do you think you have what it takes to entertain fans? If this sounds like you, then come tryout to be an announcer for the DECA Dodgeball Tournament. Tryouts will take place today at 2:30 p.m. in room S1. We are looking for a few exciting and enthusiastic students to help make this year's tournament a fun event.

All students planning to compete in the Kent Denver speech and debate meet on October 22 and/or the Great Pumpkin tournament at Rock Canyon on the 29th must attend today’s meeting after school at 2:30 in C15. Additionally, the varsity season begins in November. Students wanting to compete in November should also plan to attend this meeting.

AYE AYE!! Salsa Night at the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant is tonight. Join Mrs. Abner's dance classes for some fun Salsa lessons tonight from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Rio in Park Meadows. Cost is $5.00.

Reminder to juniors and seniors: Please attend the Financial Aid night meeting with your parents tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. Lots of great information for you and your parents.

FBLA it is time to meet to discuss fun and games at Trick or treat Street. Our meeting is tomorrow after school in room E9.

Did you know a mole of copper atoms can only make 25 pennies, BUT a mole of pennies divided evenly between each person on Earth would give everyone 890 BILLION dollars. This is a reminder to all chemistry students that Mole Day is this Friday and you need to be here by 5:55 am to be counted.

Here ye, Here ye . . . tickets for the People vs. Maxine Lowe are now on sale. Maxine Lowe is hereby accused of murdering her husband. You the jury must decide her innocence. Starring Hailey Johnson, Garret Eppers, Matt Farley, and Ashley Schuett, you won’t want to miss this compelling courtroom drama. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in the cafeteria at lunch. The performance dates are this Thursday - Saturday at 7 p.m.

Hey Warriors. . . It’s the third week of the Broncos Tackle Hunger Food Drive and we need every Warrior to help! We only have this week and next week to collect our goal of 500 boxes of food. Bring in your cans and non-perishable food items! We need them now! There are collection boxes in each of the classrooms. You CAN make a difference in the lives of people who need food!!

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Bronco Wives Food Drive? How do you ask!? Now until October 28th you will receive a.50 credit off your fine balance for every non perishable food donation you bring in to the library. To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine personally hand your donation to any of the library staff. Help yourself while you help others.

The Guidance Center and Athletic Office will be hosting a NCAA/NAIA Compliance Orientation for all interested seniors and juniors in the AHS Forum on Tuesday, October 25th during 1st and 2nd lunches. Please sign up for this orientation on one of the sheets posted in the Guidance Center or the Athletic Office.

Have you registered for The Stride 5k or 10k race yet? Get online and register at www.active.com or register with a PE teacher TODAY. We need you and your families there on October 23rd. Please help support AHS and the LPS Foundation by participating in The Stride.

If you are applying for membership to National Honor Society, remember that application packets are due by this Friday at the latest, no exceptions. Make sure you turn in all four pages of the application, along with a $15 check for your application fee, to Mrs. Kazakoff in the guidance office by Friday at 3:00pm. Thanks!
