General Announcements

Congratulations to the following students for their participation in this past Saturday's Overland High School's Novice Speech and Debate Tournament:
·   Earning superior ribbons:
o Ethan Snow and Sara Wilky in Extemporaneous Speaking 
o The team of Jack Harvey and Sanjay Patil in Duo Interpretation
o Ally Olson in Lincoln/Douglas Debate
·   Earning excellent ribbons:
o Nick Sabo in Humorous Interpretation
o Shally Xu, Susanna Baggerly, and Keaton Scheffler in Lincoln/Douglas Debate
o The team of Emily Web and Adam Ten Hoeve in Public Forum Debate
The speech and debate team will hold its weekly meeting and practice after school this Tuesday in C15. All members should attend.

Safe Schools week is coming up!  If you'd like to be a part of planning fun and exciting events for the week, join the You Matter Club meeting this Tuesday, October 16th in Room C2 right after school.

The Stride is just 3 weeks away! Register today with any PE teacher. This 5k & 10k event takes place on
October 28th. Help support Arapahoe High School and the Littleton Public Schools Foundation. We need you and your friends there. Get moving and get your registration forms to a PE teacher by October 18th.

Athletics

Congratulations to the boys varsity tennis team placing 3rd overall in the state tournament. Chad Curd and Michael Vartuli placed 2nd in the number two doubles spot, with Nick Farmen placing 3rd in number two singles and Jake Becker and Dylan Panis placing 3rd in the number three3 doubles spot. Way to go and finish a strong season!

Attention boys of summer...if you are missing the feeling of a glove on your hand, chin music, and swinging the bat- don't miss out on winter workouts.
