General Announcements

Warriors, it is always important that you attend all of your classes. Ask any upperclassmen and they will tell you that one of the keys to doing well in class is attending every day and being on time. For the next two weeks, your attendance will also be important in determining how our school gets funded. The Annual October Count determines how much money our school gets from the state, based on how many students we have attending. Please make sure you are making every effort to attend all of your classes every day.

There will be a meeting for current members of National Honor Society today at 2:25 in the Forum.  So if you're already a member of NHS, please be there after school today.

Today after school, in the Room E-9, there's a meeting of peoples fantastic and fine, and a scavenger hunting game they will play at this meeting of members of FBLA.

The Sports Broadcast Club will meet in Room E-8 at 5:15 p.m. today.

Attention all DECA members! It's time for our all club meeting for October! Come to Room E-9 after school tomorrow, October 4th for some important information on upcoming events!

Don't forget tomorrow is the You Matter club meeting.  You don't want to miss out on this fun opportunity to be apart of a positive group of students who make a difference on our campus.  Our meeting will be tomorrow right after school in the guidance conference room.  See you there!

It’s that time of year for eligible juniors and seniors to start applying for membership in National Honor Society!  If you are a junior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, then you are eligible to apply for membership.  Eligible students should have received a letter at their home address, inviting them to join and also explaining the application process.  If your GPA makes you eligible for NHS, but you haven’t received a letter at home, please contact Mr. Smith in the science office or Ms. Leclaire in the Language Arts office.  This letter also tells you about important informational meetings going on this week.  If you are applying for membership in NHS, you must attend one of these meetings to learn about the club and the application process.  There are four meetings being held for you to choose from: Thursday and Friday mornings at 6:55 in Room C-9, and Thursday and Friday afternoons at 2:20 in Room
W-103.  Remember that these meetings are only for eligible juniors and seniors, so if you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact Mr. Smith in the science office or Ms. Leclaire in the Language Arts office.

Don't forget! Picture retakes are scheduled for tomorrow.  The photographer will be here from 9-12:30 in the Theater hallway. Please bring your old photo packet with you to exchange for a picture retake.

Juniors and Seniors: Continue to check the college visit list for colleges you may want to visit. Changes and additions are happening daily. Colorado State University is scheduled for October 18. Yale's visit time changed.  Seniors! Check out the Daniels Fund scholarship in the Post Grad Center or on the scholarship list in Naviance. It is an award that pays over and above what a family can pay based on the FAFSA, CSS Profile and a family income benchmark.
