General Announcements
HO! HO! HO!  We are so close to our goal of 1000 toys!  The toy box was overflowing this morning. Way to go Warriors!  We truly appreciate all of your contributions and so will the kids at Valverde Elementary and the Denver Indian Family Services Center.  You may still bring toys to the Attendance Office.  The Wrapping Party will be held Monday, Dec. 9, right after school in the cafeteria.  Please come help wrap and get the toys ready for delivery.

Here’s an important reminder to brand new members of National Honor Society: Our induction ceremony is Monday night at 7:00 pm.  Our mandatory dress rehearsal is Monday after school at 2:30 in the theater, and it will last approximately an hour.  Then you will need to be back in the theater between 6:30 and 6:45 for this important event.

If you've been planning on submitting your work to the Muse literary arts magazine, there is no time to lose! Don't put off sending your submission of art, poetry, or prose any longer, because our submission deadline is coming up fast. Next Friday, the 13th is the deadline, so visit the Muse page under the Activities tab and send in your work today!

Attention Warriors – We will NOT be printing 2nd semester schedules this year. Instead, they will be available online through your portal account.  You will be able to access your schedules after 4:00 pm on Friday, December 6th.  As a reminder, schedule adjustments can be made for academic misplacement ONLY. If you are placed in an incorrect class, please see your counselor during your unscheduled hours.  The schedule adjustment period will run from December 9th-13th and December 16th-20th.

Athletics
Lady Warriors busy this week:  aggressive defense and team play is the theme for all teams this week.
Freshman: Were victorious in their first outing of the season beating Overland 35-24.  Led by the rebounding and scoring of Elianna Kearby, the freshman Lady Warriors played a balanced game on both ends of the floor.
Sophomore: "Suffocating defense" marked the debut of the Lady Warriors sophomore team in their defeat of Overland 72-13. Led by Allie Sheehans 3 point shooting on offense, our sophomore's showed a transition game that will be a challenge for other teams to keep up with this year. Their defense to points play was impressive.
JV: Face a closely matched game Thursday night against ThunderRidge at 5:30. Coach Hancock's talented combination of players will be a force in the Centennial league.
VarsityIn their first game of the ThunderRidge tournament against Doherty, the Varsity Lady Warriors set the pace with 17 steals, 32 rebounds and balanced scoring by Maria Haas with 16, Jennah Knafelc 16 and Mikaela Moore 14. Final Score: AHS 66-28. The tournament continues tonight against ThunderRidge at 7 pm.
