General Announcements

HO! HO! HO!  We are so close to our goal of 1,000 toys!  Way to go Warriors!  We truly appreciate all of your contributions and so will the kids at ​Eagleton​ Elementary and the Denver Indian Family Services Center.  You may still bring toys to the Attendance Office.  The Wrapping Party will be held Monday, Dec. ​8​ right after school in the cafeteria.  Please come help wrap and get the toys ready for delivery.https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif

Students, please check your LPS email account for a couple of surveys from the student newspaper and the yearbook. The surveys are open until Monday morning. We really need and value your input. Thanks.

Part of our 'Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness' campaign involves acknowledging our gratitude towards others.  Have you thanked a teacher or staff member today?!?  Please grab a post card from any teacher's classroom, the Guidance Office, the Library or at the Attendance window and take a moment to express your sincere gratitude for a teacher or staff member.  Once you've filled out your card, just drop it by the Guidance office or the Library and we will take care of the delivery for you!

Artists and writers of Arapahoe-- Thank you for submitting your fine work to the Muse before our first submission deadline.  Please be aware, that you can still submit your creative work to the Muse! Our Fall deadline is December 15th.  Keep it coming!

Athletics

Varsity girls basketball fell to Ralston Valley last night 58-55.  The girls played strong and held their own the entire game against a fast pace offense.  Top scorers for the Warriors were Jennah Knafelc with 16, Katie Crowley with 11 and Elianna Kearby with 10.  Leading with Rebounds were Elianna Kearby and Annabelle Brewer.  The Varsity girls will finish up the Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday at Cherry Creek High School at 2:30 p.m.  Good Luck Lady Hoops!

The JV girls basketball team defeated Legacy 42-27 last night. Nasty pressure defense at the end of the 2nd quarter led to an 8-0 run and the team never trailed again. Jordan Novinger led the balanced team scoring with 13 points. Next up for the JV Lady Warriors is the finals of the Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Cherry Creek High School at 2:30 p.m.  We’ll play either Pueblo East or Legend. 
Arapahoe boys basketball improved to 2-0 last night with a win over Rampart. They have a huge game tonight at 7:30 at Mountain Vista. We need all Warriors to head to the Eagles Nest to get loud and support the Warriors!
Tonight, the Warrior wrestling team take on the Wolves of Grandview in a Centennial League match up. The Lower Levels begin at 6:00 and Varsity takes the mats at 7:00 p.m.  Saturday, December 6th, the 37th Warrior Wrestling Invitational takes place at Arapahoe High School Wrestling begins at 8:30 a.m. Hope to see you there!

Attention Arapahoe Baseball Players:  If you plan to participate in the Winter Workouts, we need you to register by December 18th.  Please go to the web site (www.arapahoebaseball.com) and register as soon as you can.  You do not need to pay at time of registration.  Payment needs to be provided by December 30th.
